I was privileged to see one painting about this time last week. It was of a dark skinned woman with lovely hair and a neutral face. The colours that were employed by the artist flowed beautifully with her personality and I was wowed as usual. I decided to make an expression of this beautiful piece and this is what I came up with.
I was in a very good mood one evening last week. I didn’t achieve most of what I had mapped out for the day but I made a number of sketches and decided to share one this morning since its been sometime since I drew a cat.
Last week I had a wonderful weekend and a wonderful day. There was plenty of time for rest even amidst the myriad of work. Another thing that brightened my day was a call I put through to my brother. Luckily he was at my sisters’ place and I asked to see my Nephews and Nieces. I was glad to see them all but my youngest Nephew as usual caught my attention and kept dragging it even when I was speaking to others. He is just two years old and he wanted to show me a picture of a Lion he just saw. I don’t know if it’s the first time he was seeing the animal but he was really fascinated by it so much so that he kept showing me 😂. I miss them kids.
If you can remember when I shared my Splinterlands Art entry last Thursday or Friday I complained about being clueless when it came to the background. After much thought over the weekend, I decided that it was this poor background execution that made the curation on that piece meager even though I got some positive feedback. As you well know, I am one that takes improvement seriously so this week one of the things I prioritized before picking a Splinterlands card was to paint one that has an ‘easy to come up with’ background.
If you are an avid consumer of memes or caricature art at one point you must have come across child representation of Rowan Atkinson popularly known as ’Mr Bean’. One of those representations made its way to my gallery few years back and has been there ever since. When I got back from the office sometime last week, I felt like doing justice to it.
Cute girl. I saw this beautiful woman in a hoodie and that title came immediately. The look on her face and the hoodie itself kind of reminds me of when I was home and it rained heavily. After playing in the rain, we usually wrap ourselves in multiple duvet covers. Simpler times.
