I will be doing a write up on how technology enhances economic development in a country. First of all, the definition of technology and the definition of economic development.

According to Wikipedia, Technology is the application of knowledge for achieving practical goals in a reproducible way. Source

Britannica defines technology as the application of scientific knowledge to the practical aims of human life or, as it is sometimes phrased, to the change and manipulation of the human environment. Source

Economic development can be defined as growth plus change. It can also be said to be an improvement in the living standard of people in a country. When an economy develops, it reflects in the life of the people. Beyond the numbers a country present as a measure of growth in a year, it cannot be said to develop economically except it reflects in the life of the citizens.

Introduction
I would say technology is the easy way out, that is, finding an easier way to solve the problems of people. Technology has come to stay in this present age, it is face of the future.
Technology has become a major boost to the economy in this contemporary world. Over the past couple of decade, we have witnessed a tremendous amount of improvement in technology. Centuries of technological advancement cannot match up to what we have attained in the past few decades. This technology is of much benefit to a nation who embraces the improvement in technology. A nation that does not value or take technology important is only propagating it's downfall, because such nation would not grow as it should be.
Taking a closer look at the developed nations of the world, you would discover that they owe their development to advancement in technology.

The role of technology in the development of the economy
The use of technology promotes the economy in ways that are beyond manual effort. It reduces the efforts of humans, and eases labour. Technology provides support, it helps and gives employment to people. Production is improved because of technology, the number of units produced are at optimality. So, nations embrace technology because it has much benefit and reduces cost.
Most people say the main disadvantage to technology is that the machine takes the work of humans, and soon enough employment will reduce but the fact remains that humans will be in charge of the machines. Nevertheless, with technology on the rise, it encourages entrepreneurship. Ideas come to life when instruments (technology) that aid the ideas come to life. And when entrepreneurship increases, so does employment and also the standard of living of the people. This is how economic development come to life through technology.
The measurement of an economy is best seen from the micro (individual) level to the macro (aggregate) level. The main idea is that an individual is better off today than he was yesterday, so in extension the economy is improved in the percentage of the individuals that have their lives changes through the growth in the economy. As little as an individual is compared to the millions and billions in a country, such individual can cause a shift in the economy, a spark that can turn tides for the economy.
An individual that is a renowned entrepreneur can have as much as a million persons understand his employment. Providing jobs for such large number of individuals who depend on their wages for a means of survival. Imagine if the individual runs out of options to expand his business, and there is a crash in his line of business. Where would these folks go for employment? But with the level of technology we have in this present age, an Artificial intelligence can predict the future benefits of the organization, hereby giving reasonable reasons to a line of action that can be taken to further the advancement of the organization. The use of these artificial intelligence cannot be overemphasized because it reduces our workload. It is not a disadvantage to use artificial intelligence because it can be used alongside human mentality. The artificial intelligence cannot compute or do something with human touch or emotion but with humans working together with the artificial intelligence, it would form a balanced bond.
Turning the tides on the current state of technology in the economy, it is only wise to say that decisions should be made for the greater good of the nation. For example, i live in a nation that is a third world country, a less developed country and one of our major problem is the leadership of the nation which is controlled by old and ancient men who do not appreciate or embrace the use of technology. The old folks grew up without technology and are still shocked at how the world has evolved in such a short time but instead of growing with the advancement, they chose to be left behind and much worse they even try to draw those who are fully technologically knowledgeable backwards, they discourage the use of technology and are aggressive towards it. This is the attitude of our leaders towards technology, no wonder the economy is stagnant. This is the major difference between the developed and the developing nations of the world. Especially with the advent of cryptocurrency, the crypto space has received so much criticism since it's advent but it has proven over time to be the basis of a realiable system in the future. Coins like Bitcoin, BNB, Ethereum, Tron and Blockchain like Hive, leofinance are taking the storm.

It is therefore necessary to always encourage and improve technology in our little community because not only are we doing ourselves a favour but we are always helping the society and in extension the economy at large. So, we can see that technology and the development of the economy goes hand in hand. From the micro level to the macro level, the improvement in the economy is felt and seen as technology is advancing and encouraging the standard of living of the citizens of a country.
