Yesterday the Steemit team released on update here.
The blogpost is about what has happened in the past, what they did right and wrong, and what's coming in the future.
The priorities are still the same:
Right now, our top priorities are blockchain scalability (AppBase), Communities (Hivemind), effortless onboarding (sign up + Hardfork 20), and Smart Media Tokens (SMTs). So much progress has already been made, and we are working around the clock to deliver them as soon as we can.
Now, there wasn't anything really new in the blogpost for users that follow the development of the Steem blockchain from day to day but there is a ton of info for the ones that don't.

I do like the fact that they promised they will release more of these updates in the future.
Steem price has come down a bit overnight. Not to much about 15%. But to be honest the price of STEEM is less of a concern to me then it used to be. (although don't get me wrong, I do feel a little better when it goes up)
Lately I am more into growth numbers on the blockchain. And they look very good.
This week we had + 60k active members on the blockchain every day and also the powerdown statistics are starting to look better again with 300k STEEM vested in the last 4 days.
