On TikTok, I made the assertion that ‘Latino’ should be classified as a race and I got some interesting pushback but I'm happy to see that many people liked my video and agreed with me and others had some thoughtful criticism. Considering this, I expanded on my beliefs from just a simple 2-minute video and wrote an article on why Latino should be federally recognized as a race. These discussions, I hope, will bring other Latinos together to discuss our place, racially, in the United States. It's an important discussion considering the racial climate we live in. Sure, in many ways I can say that race is a silly concept and we should prioritize ethnicity, but we don't live in a world where race doesn't exist. Considering we live in a racialized world, I had to share my two cents on the issue.

I've never understood why most parents don't teach their children about finances. Don't get me wrong, the simple lectures of not spending money can help, but why do parents not go farther than that?For example, my parents didn't teach me about progressive tax brackets, deductions or credits. They explained a bit about collecting receipts for write-offs, or they gave me a simplistic idea about taxes (like how the government will take away 5% in taxes from a dollar leaving me with $0.95). It was all rudimentary, but they never expanded on that. They also didn't teach me about utilizing debt correctly or investing.

Considering I moved into a new house and I cannot do much gardening here, I've decided to restart my low maintenance jar aquarium project.A few months ago I had some local pond water and filled a jar with it. The idea was to see what animals I could see and what life could spawn out of it as I attempt to make the jar self sufficient. I want to redo this project but take a more serious approach with it and cover a few videos on it for Rumble. It won't be a high quality documentary but it'd be something interesting to do on the side when I have time to record after work.

I hate the DMV with a passion... I've been stuck at my local DMV for 3+ HOURS. I seriously don't understand how everything around me can improve with service and speed but the DMV remains garbage. All I needed to do was turn in a certificate... a single piece of paper and to figure out what's next for replacing my license and I feel like I've wasted my time.

Heading back home right now after finishing a simple day. Today was not busy at all nor was it a difficult job. All I had to do was clean up some tile with a steam cleaner and I finished about 8 rooms. The commute is insane but the money is worth it! I'm looking more into making money on the side so hopefully I can find some extra cash throughout the week. I don't want to miss any more days of work. Every day is an opportunity for me so I have to achieve as much as I can.

Looks like my job is sending me over to Tampa to do some quick cleaning of some bathroom tiles. Typically, we don't do these kinds of jobs but since we're branching out from just installation now we're offering more services to our customers. To be honest, this will be the first time I use the cleaning machines but it seems it isn't hard at all.
