Photography is part of my life now, could not imagine life without it. It's not only a way of capturing the moment, but it's also a way to improve your skills. Ever since I started posting on this platform I've been looking for things to photograph, starting from flowers, plants to buildings and other interesting things.

My old camera was a good one at that time, but we all know technology is developing at neck break speed and to be always on top of it you have to spend a fortune, which, even if I would have, would not spend it on cameras. Obviously I'd love to have the best camera, but it just not worth it honestly.

My philosophy is to make the most with what you have, instead of having the best and waste it by not using it. Therefore I tried to use my mobile phone camera the best way I could, plus use different editing apps to make my photos better.

However, everything comes to an end at some point you have to replace your gadgets either because those stop working, or there's a need for better quality. This is what's happened with my phone. The battery started to die slowly and it's been time for a new one. So yesterday my new phone arrived.

After my level of excitement got normalized, I had to realize I still need a few accessories as the seller was not straight forward with a few details. No worries as I'm going to leave a nice review to warn others what to pay attention to. Today I went to the tech store to get what was needed and here I am, showing you a few photos I took in my attempt to test the camera.

The first subject of my photo shoot was my African violet collection. I've always wanted to try out macro photography but have never had a good enough camera. I'm not saying this is perfect for the job, but it's definitely better than the one I had before.

These are pink buds, preparing to open. I guess in one week the flowers will be out.

I wanted to see how much is the flash influencing the colors. With my old camera, using the flash this flower would have been close to royal blue. It is blueish now, compared to the previous photos, but not royal blue. I'm ok with it.

This is my young cactus I bought in June, after I got my first vaccine. This photo is not the best, the light was not in my favor but there's still time for a better one as Rome was not built in a day either.
Tomorrow I want to go to the park to take some photos. It was planned for this morning, but getting the accessories had to be a priority in order to be able to use it. There are a lot of things to try out still so now I have something to play with in the weekend and maybe next week too. The good thing is I'll be able to post better photos from now on. Enjoy :)
