So much has changed over the years in the history of human living. So much... such that it feels if you as much as blink, you might miss something. Society keeps evolving, new patterns of living, lifestyle trends, and of course, the big boss... technology. Which has in fact made life easier and more convenient to a considerable extent and fast too. Fast messages, fast transportation, fast medical services, fast everything. Even relationships now feel fast-forwarded.

I wasn't always the kid who did extra growing up. I was quite the calm and level-headed kid (I mean, weren't we all? Hehe). I spent all my teenage years living with my aunt, who was quite a strict woman. Especially when it comes to having friends over or visiting them. I had friends from school who would always want to hang out, but sometimes they remember "oh, your aunt will give us the attitude when she sees us" and they stay back.

I found these really old photo albums quite recently in our home. Honestly, I don't even remember ever having them around but yeah, I was going through some old stuff and I found them. As you would guess, there were just a couple of old pictures. Some were taken even before I was born because I didn't even recognise some of the people I saw with my mom and dad together. But that was not even what got so much of my attention. It was my parents. The two people that birthed me, looking so fresh and very much alive in those pictures.

Most kids hate homework and that's a fact. I mean, I never liked homework back then. I'm definitely one of those kids in class praying that the teacher doesn't say "let me give you something to do when you get home." I dread those words because it can make my anxiety go from 0–100 in 5 seconds. I'm looking at a long list of chores I need to finish up and you're still adding homework? Tough maths for that matter?

I’ve never really had to battle with deciding the kind of food I like. I’ll forever be on the team healthy food , you know, meals that have all the right nutrients in the right portions. Eating out or having so much junk food has never really been my thing. I thnak my mom for that. She always made sure we had home-cooked meals, and over time, I just picked up the habit. I got so used to having food at home that buying snacks or fast food became more of a once-in-a-while thing than a being regular degular.

I’ve been randomly running into some really close old-time friends I grew up with. Some were from school, and others were people I grew up with in the same neighborhood. It’s crazy how life works. People you were once inseparable from gradually drift away, and you don’t even notice it happening until one day, you realize how different things have become.
