A few days ago, in a post, I talked about my acquisition of materials at the fabric castle, where I also bought some ribbons and jewelry materials. That is why today I bring you the first project with those materials.
A coquette style headband.
But this headband is not elastic or with a semicircular base, but made with wire, yes.
These are the materials I used to make it:
- 录 m of pink velvet fabric
- 50 cm of 1mm jewelry wire
- Sewing thread and needle
- Scissors
- Pins
- Measuring tape
- Jewelry tweezers
To begin, we will take the measurement of our head to know the length of the wire, adding to this measurement an extra 10 cm that will be the clasp of our headband. Then, we will cut a piece of fabric the length of the wire with the previous measurement and 8 cm wide. We can use pins to hold the fabric when cutting it.
At the ends of the ribbon, we will cut out a triangle, and then we will sew the entire ribbon. But, we will leave a space where we can turn this fabric so that the seam is on the inside and we will insert the wire, which we will bend in advance at the ends with the tweezers so as not to hurt ourselves.
All that remains is to close the seam and we can use our headband, twisting the ends to form a bow and leave it snug on our head.

Hace unos d铆as, en un post, habl茅 de mi adquisici贸n de materiales en el castillo de las telas, donde tambi茅n compr茅 unas cintas y materiales de bisuter铆a. Es por ello, que hoy les traigo el primer proyecto con esos materiales.
Un cintillo estilo coquette.
Pero este cintillo no es el谩stico o con la base semicircular, sino elaborado con alambre, s铆.
Estos son los materiales que utilic茅 para elaborarlo:
- 录 m de tela tercipelo rosa
- 50 cm de alambre de bisuter铆a de 1mm
- Hilo y aguja de coser
- Tijeras
- Alfileres
- Cinta m茅trica
- Pinzas de bisuter铆a
Para empezar, tomaremos la medida de nuestra cabeza para saber el largo del alambre, sum谩ndole a esta medida 10 cm extra que ser谩n el broche de nuestro cintillo. Luego, recortaremos un pedazo de tela del largo del alambre con la medida anterior y de 8 cm de ancho, podemos usar alfileres para sujetar la tela al cortarla.
En las puntas de la cinta, recortaremos un tri谩ngulo, y luego vamos a coser toda la cinta. Pero, dejaremos un espacio donde podamos voltear esta tela para que la costura quede por dentro e insertaremos el alambre, que con anticipaci贸n doblaremos en las puntas con la pinza para no lastimarnos.
Ya solo queda cerrar la costura y podemos usar nuestro cintillo, haciendo un giro en las puntas para formar un lazo y dejarlo ajustado en nuestra cabeza.
