Hi guys and girls who love anime, manga and manhwa. Today I bring you a recommendation that honestly blew me away. I'm not one of those who get hooked easily, but this manhwa did it in a matter of one chapter. It all started with a short film on YouTube recommending it, and without finishing listening to the synopsis (which usually have spoilers), I paused the video and went straight for it. Result: two nights falling asleep very late.... (don't tell my mom, hahahahahaha)😂.

Leviathan is a manhwa that grabs you with its unique premise and bleak world. The story takes place on a completely flooded planet Earth due to a meteorite impact on the moon. But the worst was not the endless deluge, but the meteorite's fall brought with it alien life forms that now dominate the depths. Surviving in this new world is a constant struggle, and humans are easy prey for these sea creatures.

The story follows a young protagonist and his little sister, who have been born into this hostile world. For them, nighttime is a time of terror, as this is when the creatures emerge from the depths to attack any boat or floating platform where humans try to take refuge. From a very young age, our protagonist is forced to face impossible challenges in order to protect his sister and move forward. Throughout his journey, he will have moments of joy and companionship, but also extreme situations where bizarre secrets of places where he has lived are revealed.

As the story progressed, I thought that some of the characters were just secondary characters without much importance, but I was wrong (and I'm glad I was). Each of them has their own development, bringing something unique to the narrative.

The Not So Good... (But No Spoilers)

While this manhwa has a lot of positive things about 95%, there is one point that maybe some of us will think, “and isn't this going to happen...”. I won't say what it is exactly so as not to ruin the experience for you, or bias you, but let's just say it could have gone a different direction in the end. It's not a totally negative thing, but it's one of those details that leaves you feeling like that something, even if it doesn't matter that much, was provided.

Something funny and funny that happened to me while reading it is that, on several occasions, I kept staring at a page, waiting for it to “move by itself” as if it were an anime.... Hopefully someday we'll be lucky enough to see it animated, because it has everything to be a resounding success.

If you like action-packed stories, a well-built post-apocalyptic world and characters with great depth, Leviathan is a must read.

Good character development, both allies and enemies have deep histories and motivations. There are no “filler” characters; everyone plays an important role, which in the end, can bring a tear to your eye...

There is Mystery, it's not just about fights against colossal creatures, but there are also hidden plots and secrets that will keep you glued to each chapter.

It's not a flat story. There are twists and turns that will leave you excited.

END NOTE: The manhwa is finished, but... the ending was left open, something that rarely happens in manhwa or in my case is the first time it happens.

Hola chicos y chicas amantes del anime, manga y manhwa. Hoy les traigo una recomendación que, sinceramente, me ha dejado impactado. No soy de los que se enganchan fácilmente, pero este manhwa lo logró en cuestión de un capítulo. Todo comenzó con un corto en YouTube recomendándolo, y sin terminar de escuchar la sinopsis (que suelen tener spoilers), pausé el video y fui directo a buscarlo. Resultado: dos noches durmiéndome tardísimo... (no le digan a mi madre, jajajajaja)😂

Leviatán es un manhwa que te atrapa con su premisa única y su mundo desolador. La historia se desarrolla en un planeta Tierra completamente inundado debido al impacto de un meteorito en la Luna. Pero lo peor no fue el diluvio interminable, sino que la caída del meteorito trajo consigo formas de vida extraterrestres que ahora dominan las profundidades. Sobrevivir en este nuevo mundo es una lucha constante, y los humanos son la presa fácil de estas criaturas marinas.

La historia sigue a un joven protagonista y su pequeña hermana, quienes han nacido en este mundo hostil. Para ellos, la noche es de terror, ya que es cuando las criaturas emergen de las profundidades para atacar cualquier barco o plataforma flotante donde los humanos intenten refugiarse. Desde muy joven, nuestro protagonista se ve obligado a enfrentar desafíos imposibles con tal de proteger a su hermana y seguir adelante. A lo largo de su viaje, tendrá momentos de alegría y compañerismo, pero también situaciones extremas donde se revelan secretos bizarros de lugares donde ha vivido.

A medida que avanzaba la historia, pensé que algunos personajes eran solo secundarios sin mayor importancia, pero me equivoqué (y me alegro de haberlo hecho). Cada uno de ellos tiene un desarrollo propio, aportando algo único a la narrativa.

Lo No Tan Bueno... (Pero Sin Spoilers)

Aunque este manhwa tiene muchas cosas positivas un 95%, hay un punto que quizá a algunos pensemos, "y no va a pasar esto...". No diré qué es exactamente para no arruinarles la experiencia, o sesgarlos, pero digamos que podría haber tomado una dirección diferente al final. No es algo totalmente negativo, pero es de esos detalles que te dejan con la sensación de que ese algo, aunque no tan importe, fuera aportado.

Algo curioso y chistoso que me pasó al leerlo es que, en varias ocasiones, me quedaba viendo fijamente una página, esperando que "se moviera sola" como si fuera un anime... 😭 Ojalá algún día tengamos la suerte de verlo animado, porque tiene todo para ser un éxito rotundo.

Si te gustan las historias llenas de acción, un mundo posapocalíptico bien construido y personajes con gran profundidad, Leviatán es una lectura obligatoria.

Mundo disferente y Apocalíptico, un planeta sumergido donde la humanidad lucha por sobrevivir contra monstruos marinos e incluso otros humanos.

Buenos desarrollo de personaje, tanto aliados como enemigos tienen historias y motivaciones profundas. No hay personajes de "relleno"; todos juegan un papel importante, que al final, pueden sacarte una lágrima...

hay Misterio, no solo se trata de peleas contra criaturas colosales, sino que también hay tramas ocultas y secretos que te mantendrán pegado a cada capítulo.

No es una historia plana. Hay giros que te dejarán emocionado.

NOTA FINAL: Ya el manhwa esta finalizado, pero... el final quedo abierto, algo que pocas veces suele pasar en los manhwa o en mi caso es la primera vez que pasa.
