A few days ago I finished an incredible vacation in the city of Trinidad, south of the province of Sancti Spíritus, I visited many beautiful places that I am excited to show and share with all of you. Believe me when I tell you that they were great days although I must confess that I was too worried about the frequent blackouts (or power outages) that are occurring in the central and eastern part of my country, luckily for me during my stay in Trinidad there were not many.

After my graduation we decided to go out to eat. The place chosen was Antojos, a very fashionable bar-restaurant in Havana, a bit expensive but completely worth the effort, since everything was delicious, from the atmosphere and the service to the food and drinks. I was accompanied by my husband, my mother, my mother-in-law and a great friend of ours. I highlight the pork ribs because they were really delicious, the best of the best.

After HiveCubaCon, and using the excuse that we were already in the heart of Havana, my husband and I decided to take a little break and visit one of our favorite restaurants: El Chanchullero. It was closed for renovations for a long time, so when we found out about its reopening, we were very happy to rediscover the place, until finally the moment arrived.

ENGLISHLast Saturday I visited the Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso and although inside the building you can't film or take pictures... not even of the show (obviously), I did take the opportunity to have some portraits taken on the Boulevard de San Rafael, right next to the theater.

¿Quién soy y qué hago aquí? Creo que esas son las dos interrogantes principales que le he visto responder a otras personas cuando inician en Hive, así que aquí estoy yo siguiéndoles la corriente. Me llamo Eilen (en realidad es Eilien pero obviemos esa i “de más”), tengo 32 años y soy cubana. Nací en Santiago de Cuba y siendo una adolescente me mudé a La Habana. Mi infancia en la tierra caliente transcurrió de manera sencilla, sin lujos y con algunas carencias. Lo típico en la zona oriental del país.
