This april I had one of the most memorable experiences :) First of all, I met my best friend from high school for first time since 2012. We had a nice time in the capital of Portugal. I found Lisbon to be a very charming place. It is plenty of historic museums and monuments in there, but I quite enjoy even while walking and exploring the streets of the city.Alfama is the oldest neighbourhood in the country. I love all about it, especially the old buildings decorated with beautiful and colourful tiles. One week wasn’t enough to visit all the places on my list. One of them was National Tile museum. At least I have managed to buy quite few hand made tiles-souvenirs 🤩 if I didn’t have a weight limit on my luggage I would probably buy more. All the buildings in Alfama area are quite old, but at the sane time they are unique and it’s like they are telling their own story.
There is something magnetic. I can’t describe it with words, but I have already booked my next trip to Portugal (this time I will explore Faro).
Let’s go back to my street impressions from Lisbon. It is so different from United Kingdom so I really couldn’t get enough. I don’t mind the hills, neither the stairs. All I can say that all this efforts climbing to the top of the road have been paid off. The views were amazing.![](
