It's been a few months since I discovered Hive but I never made a proper presentation post so...it's time to fix this mistake.
My name is Michael, I'm 32 years old and I'm French. I grew up in Paris but since 2020 I live between Panama and Colombia.
I have a master's degree in corporate finance. I started my career in this sector but I stopped in 2019 to focus on building E-commerce brands.

Cela fait déjà quelques mois que j’ai découvert Hive mais je n’avais jamais fait de post de présentation…il est temps de réparer cette erreur.
Je m'appelle Michael, j’ai 32 ans et je suis français. J’ai grandi à Paris mais depuis 2020 je vis entre le Panama et la Colombie.
J’ai un master en finance d’entreprise. J’ai commencé ma carrière dans ce secteur mais j’ai arrêté en 2019 pour me consacrer au E-commerce.
[ENG] I first discovered crypto-currencies and the blockchain world in 2016. At the time, I was mostly trying to understand how it works so I only invested a few hundred dollars on btc and eth.
During the 2017 bull run, I cashed out when I made X10. I had a lot to deal with in my private life during that time so I stopped everything related to crypto until the end of 2020.
In 2021, I started to get interested in crypto again and I made two big discoveries: DeFi and Splinterlands!
When I discovered what it is possible to do with DeFi, I started to watch a lot of youtube videos on the subject. One of the YouTubers I was following at the time made a video about play-to-earn games. That's when I discovered Splinterlands.
I've been a Hearthstone player in the past so I was immediately hooked on the game.
I became totally addicted and have been playing every day since I discovered Splinterlands.
I have a very competitive spirit when I play games so I learned the mechanics of the game very quickly and reached the champions league in my 3rd season using rental cards.
Unfortunately, the end-of-season reward system changed around that time so I had to give up renting big decks to play at the highest level.
It was time for me to completely change my strategy by being much more patient this time and building my deck little by little buying cards.
[FR] J’ai découvert pour la première fois les crypto-monnaies et l’univers de la blockchain en 2016.
A l'époque, j’essayais surtout de comprendre comment ça fonctionne donc j’ai investi seulement quelques centaines de dollars sur le bitcoin et eth.
Lors du bullrun de 2017, j’ai encaissé mes gains après avoir fait un x10.
J’avais beaucoup de choses à gérer lors de cette période de ma vie donc j’ai arrêté de suivre l’actualité crypto jusqu’à la fin d’année 2020.
En 2021, j’ai recommencé à m'intéresser au secteur crypto et j’ai fait deux grosses découvertes : La DeFi et Splinterlands !
En découvrant ce qu’il est possible de faire avec la DeFi, j’ai commencé à regarder pleins de vidéos youtube sur le sujet et les cryptos en général. Un des youtubeurs que je suivais à l’époque à fait une vidéo sur les Play 2 earn. C’est à ce moment que j’ai découvert Splinterlands.
Ayant été dans le passé un ancien joueur d’Hearstone, j’ai tout de suite accroché avec le jeu. Je suis devenu totalement accro et je joue tous les jours depuis que j’ai découvert Splinterlands.
J’ai un esprit très compétitif lorsque je joue à des jeux donc j’ai appris très rapidement les mécaniques du jeu et j’ai atteint la ligue champion lors de ma 3ème saison en utilisant le système de location de cartes.
Malheureusement le système de récompenses de fin de saison à été changé à cette période donc j’ai dû renoncer à louer des gros decks pour jouer au plus haut niveau.
C’était le moment pour moi de changer complètement de stratégie en étant cette fois beaucoup plus patient et en construisant mon deck petit à petit en achetant des cartes.

What about Hive? / Et Hive dans tout ça ?
[ENG] To be honest with you, I only started to be seriously interested in Hive at the end of 2021! (yes I know, it's a shame 😂 )
I played Splinterlands for about 6 months without knowing how Hive works and what is possible to do on this blockchain.
One of my guildmates advised me to blog about Splinterlands on Hive because I'm very good at it.
Having never blogged in my life, it took me a long time to get comfortable enough to start blogging.
First, I started reading and commenting on other people's blogs in the community and discovered some amazing people like @jimmy.adames @jongolson @achim03, or @taskmaster4450.
The work they do on a daily basis is remarkable!
They gave me the motivation to get involved in this blockchain and start following their path.
I would like to take this opportunity to give them a big thank you for their dedication to this blockchain on a daily basis which is very inspiring!
[FR] Pour être honnête avec vous, j’ai commencé à m'intéresser sérieusement à Hive seulement fin 2021 ! (oui je sais, j’abuse lol) J’ai joué environ 6 mois à Splinterlands sans savoir comment fonctionne Hive et ce qu’il est possible de faire sur cette blockchain.
Un des mes coéquipiers de guilde m’a conseillé de blogger à propos Splinterlands sur Hive car je suis très bon dans le jeu.
N’ayant jamais bloggué de ma vie, j’ai mis beaucoup de temps avant d’être assez à l'aise pour commencer à blogger.
J’ai d’abord commencé à lire et commenter les blogs des autres personnes de la communauté et j’ai découvert des personnes incroyables comme jimmy.adames, jongolson, achim03 ou encore taskmaster4450
Le travail qu’ils font au quotidien est remarquable ! Ils m’ont donné la motivation pour m’impliquer dans cette blockchain et commencer à suivre leur chemin.
J’en profite pour leur adresser un grand merci pour leur dévouement à cette blockchain au quotidien qui est très inspirante !
[ENG] To get back to my personal presentation and my life outside of the internet.
I love sports (Basketball and Soccer) and I train 5 times a week (Workout and boxing).
So if I'm not talking about crypto or Splinterlands you'll most likely see me participating in the Sports Talk community!
