Hello dear friends! I would like to tell you about the amazing city of Almaty in Kazakhstan. I arrived here a month ago and almost immediately fell in love with this wonderful city.
Almaty is located in the foothills of the Zailiysky Alatau, surrounded by landscapes of incredible beauty. It is the largest metropolis, and until 1997 it was the capital of the state and remains to this day a trade and cultural center.
People come here to enjoy the surrounding nature, visit the remarkable ski resorts and touch the world cultural heritage. There are many cultural attractions here, the Central State Museum, where thousands of exhibits related to the country's history are presented, architectural monuments that harmoniously blend with modern buildings.
Particularly as a musician, I was drawn to the Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abay (GATOB), founded in 1934 and one of the largest theaters in the Eurasian space.
The celebrated masters of the stage are part of the theater's creative group. The repertoire is represented by almost all works of world classical heritage, as well as modern musicals.
