I captured these little flowers in my backyard. We have had lots of rain and now the sun is getting hot, the leaves of the trees are showing up and becoming full.
The weeds are growing too. Maybe it is time to take out the machete and chop down some tall weeds and grass.
A machete can also be a self defense weapon. I look at it like a cheap short sword.
That reminds me of a friend of mine that bought a samurai sword that was made I think in the 1700's. I think he got it for about 900 dollars. Of course a samurai sword is a good weapon for self defense also.
And this one, my friend let me hold in my hand. It was like the shorter sword that a samurai would use. I personally like the shorter sword. That sword sure did feel good in my hand. I could tell that the sword worker that made that sword was good.
And a machete is not as good as that sword for sure, but machetes are still good self defense weapons.
Have any of you read the Art of War by Sun Tzu? If I had a son and he would have to go to war I would have him know all the principles of that book before he left.
That Art of War book was written for the elite, but we have access to those techniques and it would be valuable for any that would have to go to war.
I was watching the movie called, T-34. Most people that know about WWII will know that T-34 is a name of a Russian tank. And it was a very good tank at that.
While watching the movie I would go over some of the things that the book Art of War mentioned, like use of fire and where to be during that fire according to the wind.
I noticed in that movie as the people in the T-34 tank used fire as a distraction. Isn't that the way of war, to always confuse the enemy?
This reminds me of a scripture, as it is written, Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. Ecclesiastes 9:15. Well, even if the poor wise man is forgotten, there will be someone that would remember.
I thought that T-34 movie was pretty good, and measuring their actions according to the book, Art of War was a treat.
So the little flowers are in my backyard and I am going over the Art of War book. That reminds me of a saying, “It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war.” ― Miyamoto Musashi.
Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, Of David. Blessed the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, my fingers to fight: Psalm 144:1.
