The vast majority of my photography takes place inside Canada. Let’s say 99.9% of it. However this time, I’m inside the good ol USA, Glacier Park to be specific. I hope to one day travel to and stay inside this park. Thing is, the Canadian dollar has been relatively weak last couple of years. Therefore, we pay like 35% more for everything. That being said, there are still many many Canadian spots I have not visited yet. So much to do, so little time! Thanks for stopping by.

Do you like to hang out in the City or in the Wild? Well, for me it’s no secret — I prefer to hang out in the Wild. You don’t get this kind of beauty in a typical city, nor do you get the clean fresh air either. If you listen carefully, you can hear the birds singing and the trees gently swaying from side to side in the breeze. A few photos captured around the shoreline here at Waterton lake, Glacier Park, USA. That’s right, USA, not Alberta, Canada. As I have mentioned a few times in the past, Waterton lake connects Canada to the USA. Similar to how the Great Lakes connect Ontario, Canada to the USA in the East. Over the last decade or so, I have not travelled to the US. In fact the last time for me was a connecting flight to Japan via Seattle! However, last Summer we did once again stop in the US, but this time was even shorter — about 30 minutes in fact. We took a boat cruise from the town of Waterton to the shorelines of Glacier Park, USA (approximately 1 hour). There, we were given a time limit of 30 minutes to explore the shoreline or sit down for a quick interpretive spiel by a forest ranger. I chose to mosey around and take photos (big surprise right?). Today I’m leading with Black & White versions of the Wonderful mountains of Waterton National park. As beautiful as they are in colour, the B&W’s have their own unique flavour and geometric shapes, which tend to come out more in this genre. That being said, I found it tough to get the colours accurate. When you are photographing from a distance, mountains tend to become a bit creamy blueish. Which are your favourites today?
