Tonight we are eating at my sister-in-law’s house. So we are all cooking a dish. Why don’t you join us.
This is the first dish. Our ground pork seasoned with onions, scallions, and peppers.
These are picked vegetable hearts. I’m not sure what kind, everyone just calls them “vegetables hearts” in Chinese.
Here we gizzards and intestine. I believe they are duck.
Here’s a spicy one! Pickled bamboo in chili oil. BAM!
This is homemade pan fried radish cake.
This is the dipping sauce for the radish cake. It is made of soy sauce (of course) and send the cilantro.
This is a rare dish. It’s hash browns. The reason it’s rare is sweet potatoes are more common. I think someone gave my wife potatoes, so we’re eating them.
No meal is a real meal without vegetables!
You will never see a meal in this family without rice. This is special tonight. It’s sausage rice. The sausage was made by my brother-in-law.
He’s quite proud of it.
We are returning to the US on Tuesday to celebrate my mothers birthday. So for the weeks i won’t eat here. Such a loss. ;(
