Carta abierta:

Muchas personas hoy están o han estado pasando por situaciones complicadas. Aquí hay muchos ejemplos. No es raro saber que económicamente comprar un pedazo de carne cada día se vuelve más difícil.

En otros lugares del mundo hay guerras donde muchos niños hambrientos también mueren por una causa que no es suya y que personas mayores a ellos les hacen vivir deliberadamente.

En otras hay quienes por estas fechas no tienen tan siquiera agua potable y tienen que caminar por kilómetros para poder consumirla, incluso cuando llegan a la fuente del preciado líquido, esta no está realmente en óptimas condiciones.

Hive es y deberá seguir siendo un refugio y salvaguarda para todos los que, sin importar su frontera, pensamiento político, estatus económico... convivan en paz y se apoyen mutuamente para y por la comunidad.

He visto en mi propio país o en mí mismo cómo Hive ha ayudado a muchos a poner un plato de comida en la mesa o pagar la factura de electricidad, agua o internet, por citar algunas.

He visto cómo nos hemos podido unir para ayudar a causas justas, a personas que lo perdieron todo después de eventos naturales devastadores como ciclones o cómo se han podido abrir pozos de agua en África con la ayuda de la comunidad.

En Hive se han descubierto pasiones o se han podido desarrollar estas; tienes a una comunidad detrás que poco a poco te puede conocer y a personas con las que puedes conectar sin importar incluso que hables el mismo idioma, incluso seas del mismo continente.

Eventos físicos y virtuales, a los que he podido (o no) ir y a los que sé que vendrán y me encantaría asistir. Donde gente que no se conocía con anterioridad, en muchos casos, se conocen, donde se conectan personas que se dedican a diferentes labores, todas importantes, desde un desarrollador de aplicaciones, un médico, un artista, una ama de casa que cuida a su familia o a sus viejos enfermos.

Lo hermoso de Hive es que hay cabida para todos y sin importar lo que hagamos habrá un espacio para esto, incluso pudiera ser creado por nosotros mismos de no existir previamente.

Y lo sé, porque cada día que me he dedicado a investigar y a rebuscar he encontrado comunidades activas de diferentes temáticas y en más de una me he sorprendido y he comentado con mi familia: "Es que en Hive hay de todo".

Todos tenemos nuestros procesos. Yo he tenido que tomar distancia de Hive por unos meses, intentando resolver situaciones personales que me habían dejado desconectado de lo que considero que soy y he tratado de volver lo mejor posible, ayudando y aportando lo que hago y soy.

Para esto, el arte, incentivar el arte, en cada una de sus manifestaciones creo sea indispensable. En los tiempos históricos que estamos viviendo, solo la paz y el amor nos pueden salvar. El arte, incluso el más crítico, forma parte de lo que yo considero necesario en estos tiempos.

Desde mi posición como fotógrafo y creador en web 3, me suelo preguntar qué hacer para poder ayudar a los demás. Creo que ayudar es sinónimo de amar y amar, en el amplio significado de la palabra, es algo que nos hace ser mejores seres humanos.

Los que estamos acá en Hive somos pioneros de la web 3; algunos han llegado primero, otros llegamos después gracias a sus enseñanzas. Lo importante es estar y saber que podemos juntos lograr cosas sumamente importantes para todos, que podemos ir más allá, influir positivamente en la humanidad. Las mismas características de la blockchain hacen que lo que escribamos o publiquemos acá quede guardado en la cadena de bloques, por lo cual tratemos siempre de hacer cosas positivas y que dentro de 5, 10, 15 años, ya con un Hive en un estadío superior, podamos mirar atrás sintiéndonos orgullosos de lo logrado en el pasado.

Open letter:

Many people today are or have been going through complicated situations. There are many examples here. It is not uncommon to know that economically buying a piece of meat every day becomes more difficult.

In other parts of the world, there are wars where many hungry children also die for a cause that is not their own, and older people deliberately make them live through it.

In other places, there are those who, around this time, don't even have drinkable water and have to walk for kilometers to be able to consume it. Even when they reach the source of the precious liquid, it's not really in optimal conditions.

Hive is and should continue to be a refuge and safeguard for all who, regardless of their border, political thinking, economic status... coexist in peace and support each other for and by the community.

I've seen in my own country or in myself how Hive has helped many to put food on the table or pay the electricity, water, or internet bill, to name a few.

I've seen how we've been able to come together to help just causes, to people who lost everything after devastating natural events like cyclones, or how wells have been opened in Africa with the help of the community.

In Hive, passions have been discovered or developed; you have a community behind you that can gradually get to know you, and people with whom you can connect regardless of whether you speak the same language or are from the same continent.

Physical and virtual events, ones I've been able to (or not) attend, and ones I know will come, and I would love to attend. Where people who didn't know each other previously, in many cases, get to know each other, where people engaged in different jobs connect—all important, from an application developer, a doctor, an artist, a housewife taking care of her family, or her elderly sick.

The beauty of Hive is that there is room for everyone, and no matter what we do, there will be a space for it, even if it has to be created by ourselves if it didn't exist previously.

And I know because every day I've dedicated myself to research and search, I've found active communities on different topics, and in more than one, I've been surprised and commented with my family: "It's that in Hive, there's everything."

We all have our processes. I've had to distance myself from Hive for a few months, trying to solve personal situations that had left me disconnected from what I consider to be myself, and I've tried to come back as best as possible, helping and contributing what I do and am.

For this, art, encouraging art, in each of its manifestations, I believe is indispensable. In the historical times we are living in, only peace and love can save us. Art, even the most critical, is part of what I consider necessary in these times.

From my position as a photographer and creator in web 3, I often ask myself what to do to help others. I believe that helping is synonymous with loving, and loving, in the broadest sense of the word, is something that makes us better human beings.

Those of us here on Hive are pioneers of web 3; some arrived first, others came later thanks to their teachings. The important thing is to be here and know that together we can achieve extremely important things for everyone, that we can go further, positively influence humanity. The same characteristics of the blockchain ensure that what we write or publish here is stored on the blockchain, so let's always try to do positive things and, within 5, 10, 15 years, already with a Hive at a higher level, we can look back feeling proud of what we achieved in the past.
