🤘 𝕴𝖓 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝖊𝖕𝖎𝖘𝖔𝖉𝖊...
In the five or six years that I've been doing this crazy wonderful heavy metal radio stream, I've done quite a few Christmas episodes. In the interest of keeping things fresh (and because I also actually really don't like Christmas music for the most part, YIKES) I thought this year I'd do something a little bit different to celebrate the incredible milestone...because in case you didn't notice, this is EPISODE 200! That's over six hundred hours of heavy metal, hard rock and sass; what an unbelievable achievement.
As we come to the end of another year, I'm genuinely humbled by how the show has grown and how many people are now supporting the creation of new episodes and discovering great music, whether as part of the community, as subscribers and financial backers, and as my dear friends. I never explicitly ask for these things, and I know that that means that you have gone out of your way to do so. There are no words for how meaningful that is.
ANYWAYS. Christmas! Instead of the same old tracks, I take a crack at reinterpreting a holiday classic- Twas the Night Before Christmas! We read the traditional version of the poem, interspersed with some handpicked heavy tracks to represent every verse. Spoiler alert: my version is... uh... much more metal, lol. Don't worry, I manage to sneak in a few actual Christmas songs so you'll still get your holly jollies jiggled.

I love this playlist, and it gives me an excuse to find ways to play some of my favourite bands for you while still getting into the spirit of the season. Whatever it is you celebrate, I hope you had an amazing one- I'm wishing you my very best, and looking forward to many more with you 🖤
