There is one thing I have noticed across different online platforms, especially Hive, many people want to be successful quickly. Many want to trend, earn rewards, gain followers, and be noticed. Very few will slow down and learn how the platform works before they expect those results. I am not saying this because i know it all, I'm just sharing what i have experienced over the years.

Dance is an integral part of life in Ghana. We dance on every occasion and whenever there is a reason to, in our homes, on the streets and at gatherings. It is something that is separate from our everyday life; it is our everyday life. In the north, in the south, in our villages and cities, dance is part of who we are. When Ghanaians dance, they so not just for enjoyment but to express something more.

There are moments when a need stares us in the face not abstract, not far off, but immediate, undeniable, and human. In one such moment, we are only required to ask if we can be of help or not. The sad thing is when we have the willing heart to meet the need but lack the resources to solve it.

I took a picture of a great supermarket building with a beautiful roof that really grabbed my attention. The ceiling seemed to be a grid of squares, which looked like they could be windows, or let's say a possible opening to the blue sky above. But as I was looking at it, I had a thought about something that I know about our everyday life: while the roof was beautifully segmented and illuminated, none of those squares were opening. There was no access at all, just an illusion of access.

Through the Hive Empowers Communities project I have been privileged to see lives change, one community at a time. The project has helped multiple villages in Ghana to finally receive what they have needed for- clean and safe drinking water. The most recent addition to the impact in this journey was Agona Jamasi in the Ashanti Region, which we have celebrated the launch of Hive’s 22nd borehole. What a day it was, full of excitement, joy, and emotion.

My name did not always have meaning in my world until I became older. It was just my name, the name I was called while I was growing up in Kumasi. I assumed it was just my name, and a part of me, like my physical traits or verbal dotations. However, with age and time, I began to recognize its meaning, because it has history, memory, and significance. Ashanti identity is not only geographical, it is identity and values which also define who you are, and define what you stand for.
