One of my favorite things about Splinterlands is the many contests you can enter from Splinterlands right here on the HIVE blockchain. Splinterlands holds several contests a week, follow them on Hive to enter it when new ones pop up! You will create awesome quality Splinterlands content, and you might receive a nice upvote for doing so and sharing it on social media to spread the word of Splinterlands!
That is all I wanted was to find a great crypto game where I could have fun playing it and earn something small by doing so. Plus, the Splinterlands community is quite awesome in itself. There are so many players who have been there from the start, like me and are continuing in the game, playing it every day. It can consume you and your time that is for sure, many days I have spent hours on the game doing various things like working my land, playing in the Wild format ranked battles, I can spend a good hour or two battling aways for sure. Especially if I am winning more than losing, lol! For the Twitch giveaways in the live chat on Friday, all you need to do is to be active in the chat.
Nightbot is the only bot I like, and he will randomly pick someone in the chat in between each round of the tournament! I will give out either DEC or a NFT card to the winner, you just need to be there and type your Splinterlands in game name into the chat to win the prize! It is simple. Hopefully, if you join the tournament, you can also win some DEC by playing well in it.
I hope we have water by then! There was a snowstorm here in Richmond, VA USA a few days ago and we lost our water due to a power outage at the water plant. It is so hard when you don't have water as we use it to brush our teeth, shower, wash clothes, cook and so much more! How blessed we are to have running water normally! That is a wonderful thing to have! Hopefully, it gets shut back on soon but until then we will be okay! The lines were about 8 hours long as they are handing out free water at many different locations but that is just too long to wait. I should be fine to stream though as we do have electricity!
I hope anyone reading this is not affected by any winter storm and you are doing great! It is one thing to be a part of such a great community where you recognize a lot of players old and new in the game! Hanging out in Discord can be a fun thing as well as playing the game. Live streams are also fun and you can interact with other players in the Twitch chat! You might make a new friend and win something as well! It is cool to be a part of a community where everyone knows your name, just like the awesome Cheers song! I love this song and think of Splinterlands when I hear it!

I hope to see you this Friday night as we play a tournament together and I will hand out some free giveaways on Twitch! make sure you do not forget to check in 15 minutes prior to the start time! You know, long ago there were no automatic tournaments to play here. You had to use the old challonge system, omg it was so long! Literally like 4 to 5 hours for one tournament if there were a lot of people! You had to meet in Discord and manually battle with whoever you were assigned to and we had to manually enter them, who won, who is moving on to the next round, etc. It was crazy! It was all fun though, that is the name of the game, to have fun! Let's have some fun! See you there!
