Hi watercolour lovers♥️
Painting with the watercolour medium can be both exciting and frustrating at the same time but no artist ever started perfect with any kind of medium.
So here's a nataraj watercolour portrait painting I did through fear of mistakes and anxiety

I make my sketches with light hues and small brushes (light hues helps me correct errors better) and add darker hues for guidelines.

Next comes the build of mid-tones and skin tones to add a more realistic feel to the painting.

Painting the hair is a bit challenging to me but practice and more practice pays off at the end of the day. I'm consoled that at first glance it's easy to tell that, that's a human hair (could have been a cat fur hahahaha😂)

Before I completed this piece, the perfectionist in me had so many thoughts of what could possibly go wrong but I mean the beauty and value of art is not in it's perfection right? Yeah so I went all in, enjoying every process♥️ that resulted in this satisfying final piece 😃

📝Putting up a painting on a compatible visual space gives it more aesthetic value in my humble opinion.
Thank you for sharing in my experience on this piece 😘
