Today I want to present you, and I want to review this beautiful agriturismo where I was lucky enough to have dinner.
The restaurant is located about 30 minutes from the city of Modena in the Italian region of Emilia Romagna. This Italian region is famous not only for its cultural and artistic heritage (like all of Italy!) But also and above all for the gastronomic tradition. Let us remember that in these areas, many unique products are produced in the world such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Parma ham.
In addition to being a restaurant, the reviewed place is a resort, offering the opportunity to book relaxing holidays in the beautiful countryside of Modena!
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the staff who very kindly and courteously immediately seated us at our table. I chose to go to dinner at this farm because it specializes in typical Emilian cuisine.
Upon our arrival in addition to the waiters, we were greeted by a beautiful table full of cherries!
June is the cherry harvesting period, and trees and farms that produce this delicious fruit are practically everywhere in this area of the region. I show you some photos of the table, of course the cherries were produced directly at the property and contextually sold to restaurant visitors.
As soon as we are seated at the table, we immediately order an excellent bottle of "Lambrusco dell'Emilia" produced wine (like most of the products on the menu) directly from "Ca 'del Rio".
The wine was excellent and as an appetizer we order a classic Italian-style appetizer, which is various sliced salami and various cheeses.
The main course was obviously the famous "Gnocco" with the sensational "Tigelle". The dumpling is a type of bread that is cut into a rectangular shape and then fried in lard. The tigella instead is prepared on the plate and is round in shape. The first photo of this post completely represents the beauty and goodness of this dish!
Given the favorable weather we had dinner outside, directly on the lawn near the structure. The location is very beautiful and welcoming and very often corporate events or weddings are organized.
Inside Ca 'del Rio, there is a large playground for children, while parents dine and taste the excellent local products, children can have fun in the park in complete safety.
