Where My Feet Meet the Morning Sun

By @charmingcherry2/25/2026hive-141359

I just started running again recently, and I love how it gets me sweaty and tired. I have been trying my best to lose weight, slowly but surely. Aside from cutting back on rice, I was also going on daily runs to burn calories. I stopped for a while, and now I am back at it again.

I woke up early today, and got my tea and biscuit ready for my light breakfast. I need to energize my body first before going on a run. After warming up my whole body, I started hitting the road, and here's what our community looks like in the early morning.

I got my feet working, and my body seems to enjoy it. I started on slow walks, then went on my jog as usual. The sun was already up when I went outside, so I felt it touch every part of my body. I don't have any plans to back down and just enjoyed the morning sun.

Aside from my feet working and my body warming up, I am also witnessing the best scene here in our neighborhood. The rice field was relaxing to the eyes, and the view from the mountains made the moment more perfect.

When I checked my smartwatch, I was already on my 5th kilometer. I am all sweaty and tired. I turned around to go back home, which means I will hit 10 kilometers this time. Despite the sweaty face, I still managed to take pictures of myself to share with you guys.

I was already looking at the Lambingan Bridge here in our place, and it only means I am almost home. I slowed down for a while to take in the beautiful scene here.

Of course, I will never forget taking a photo of myself, and the nature we have here as my background. We have mountains and rivers out here, and it's a peaceful place to live.

After running and walking for almost 2 hours, I finally got home. I finished my cool-down exercise, then I grabbed some water. While resting, I checked my Strava account to review my statistics, and I just set a new personal record in the 10-kilometer race. I am looking forward to more achievements in my running journey as a beginner.
