Wednesday Walk: Spending Time Outside Home

The month of April has a lot of holidays, which gave everyone the chance to relax and enjoy the long weekends with their families. Some may have planned to go to the beaches, or take a walk in the cities. It depends on how they wanted to spend the days outside work and school. This opportunity only happens once in a while, so people really enjoyed every day without feeling the guilt of not going to work or studying.

And I am not an exemption in this matter. In some days of staying at home due to long weekends, I enjoyed sleeping as my way of taking some rest after a tiring week. But there was a time when I decided to spend time outside the four corners of my room. Here's a glimpse of my #WednesdayWalk.

Thinking where to go is not easy, especially if you have no plans at all. And this is exactly what I felt, not until I remembered an errand that I must do in the capital of our province, in Iba, Zambales. It was almost two hours away from home, so honestly, it took me a couple of minutes of finalizing my decision of traveling. Imagine lying in bed and enjoying the day of relaxation, but you suddenly remember a thing that you have to do. That was exactly the situation I was in.

And I had no other choice. It's time to go out. After riding a bus for almost two hours, here I am, walking all by myself.

The busy road and the people passing by the street greeted me as I touched down. I will not specify what I had to do here, but it was connected to my application for graduation. It just took me a few minutes, so I decided to take a walk and make sure I'll take advantage of the almost two-hour travel.

As I started walking, I saw several restaurants, thrift stores, and more commercial buildings with whatever businesses they have. What caught my attention was the newly-renovated boutiques.

Oh, I forgot to mention that it was a sunny day. I am sweaty person, so walking outside with the sun shining, you will surely witness how my body produces 10 liters of sweats. Kidding aside, I am really sweating hard after walking a few minutes. Maybe because I was wearing a pair of jeans. I paused for a while and thought of an air-conditioned place. Lucky me, I know some places here.

After the inhales and exhales, I started walking towards the Iba Town Center (ITC). I think I can describe it as a smaller version of a mall. It has some escalators too, plus the place is airconditioned!

I was greeted by the discounted items and big sales. But no, I didn't go here for shopping. I just wanted to walk around and have a stroll. I can say that the 50% Discount was really convincing, but I turned a blind eye.

After a few sight-seeing on the first floor, I hopped on the escalator to visit my favorite floor of ITC. This is where stores for home improvements were displayed. And also, the gadget section caught my attention. Different brands and models of smartphones and tablets were there.

I tried checking out the latest models that they have. Actually, I was looking exactly for the Xiaomi Pad 5, but they do not have it yet. Instead, they suggested the Realme Pad X. I just asked for the specs, and glad they explained the details to me really well.

After a few minutes of checking out phones and tablets, I checked my watch and saw that I should head back home. Since it will take me almost two hours of travel, I need to hop in a bus at 4:00 PM and get home around 6:00PM. I went out of the town center and waited for the bus.

CONCLUSION
It was just a quick stroll, and it's not the usual nature-trip that I do, but it was still worth it. I did not have a lot of stories to tell about this #wednesdaywalk experience, but I am happy to still share it with everyone.
