breath in

breath out

I sit at a river.
I hear the water tumbling over the rocks,
Squeeze the soft mud in my hands,
Feel the chill of the water in my fingert-

How long will that chemistry assignment take me tonight?
I hold the thought in my hands
... And I place it in the river.

I notice that the mud is cool, like the wat-

I can't believe Michael said that today
I hold the thought in my hands
...And I place it in the river.

I look around at the environment,
Not seeing much of anything.
The world is as blank as a new
Minecraft flat land.

I loved that movie we watched the other night, the characters were so good and
I hold the thought in my hands
...And I place it in the river.

Am I even doing this right???
