Hey, Hivers. Among current bands, Parcels shows us that watching live recordings, with minimal use of tracks, and feeling that the music is more human is one of the things I love about this band. Where mistakes are not mistakes but moments where playing the instrument also means making mistakes, but it's not about romanticizing a band that can and wants to play badly and because it's organic we should let the bad playing slide; it's more about realizing that those details that make music more human should come back. Currently, quantizing all music and perfecting it makes us robotic, and in that search for perfection, no matter how much we want it, it will never happen. It is more real to hear those spontaneous cries of “Michael Jackson” or that unexpected laugh from ‘Sting’ in one of his recordings. These are mistakes that become unique, or like that slip-up by “Phil Collins” that marked an entire era by giving sound to the 80s. That is why I want to share with you a bass cover of “You Got Me Feeling” by Parcels.

Que tal, Hivers. De las bandas actuales, “Parcels” nos demuestra que ver a las grabaciones en vivo, con el uso mínimo de pistas y sentir que la música es más humana, es una de las cosas que me encantan de esta banda. Donde los errores no son errores sino momentos donde tocar el instrumento es también equivocarse, pero tampoco es hacer o romantizar una banda que pueda y quiera tocar mal y por ser orgánica debemos dejar pasar lo mal que tocan; es más bien darnos cuenta que esos detalles que hacen a la música más humana, debe volver. Actualmente cuantizar toda la música y perfeccionarla nos hace robóticos y en esa búsqueda de la perfección que por más que queramos jamás ocurrirá. Es más real escuchar esos gritos espontáneos de “Michael Jackson” o esa risa inesperada de “Sting” en una de sus grabaciones, son errores que se convierten en únicos, o como aquel descuido de “Phil Collins” que marcó una época entera al darle sonido a los años 80´s. por esto quiero compartir con ustedes un cover de bajo de "Yougotmefeeling” de Parcels.
