Our Chistmas changed shape for the better with news that my wife's son would bring Ollie over in the morningA few clues in the photo. Ollie came in a bit like a whirlwind - he loves cars He spent a lovely time wandering around the apartment and the courtyard outside. He always has a car in hand and makes sure everyone has one - especially me. He learned how to work the sliding fly screen - back and forth closing it each time. Sweet revenge on the people upstairs who slide theirs a lot.
The road into Christmas got a little harder as each hour went by. The plan had been a visit from my wife's grandson with one or other of the parents. The good thing is we did suspend ideas of cooking lunch. I got busy writing the investing blog post and reviewing an Internet Marketing product from a friend. Did get the message saying no visit - illness
Another week begins. The week into Christmas is always tough when I think back to the way it was. Focus - focus on the things in front and what works. Well the market is in front - write up investing stuff on a tough week across all markets
A down week for markets especially uranium is time to back up the truck and load up. Options assignments added even more uranium plus a few other solid targetsIn a week where S&P 500 dropped 2.16% and Europe dropped 4.58%, my pension portfolio dropped 2.99% - somewhere in the middle but not because it is weighted more to Europe. More to do with uranium. Only one market in the green - Canada - thanks to two of the stocks in the big movers list. Biggest drags were De Grey Mining (DEG.AX) down 8% and uranium pretty well across the board.
The season is getting to me. Spent the morning doing investing accounts after a busy options expiry time. Took the train with my wife down to Chatswood to finish her shopping. Got there at lunch time - was not too busy. 3 young ladies playing carols on their wind instruments
A day warming up faster than I was ready for. Getting too warm to get out on the bike to ride any of the hills around here. Hid away inside until later in the day. Picked a walk to check getting to a track on foot from home
