Hi garden lovers! While we are enjoying our summer vacation, I finally have plenty of time to check our backyard and little garden at home. Although some of our plants are a bit withered because of the scorching summer sun, we still have some plants that thrive well and give us a good harvest, just like our peanuts.

It's tropical season here in the Philippines, and I cannot help but drool every time I see my favorite tropical fruits posted on Facebook. While these fruits can be bought in the supermarket but I prefer not to, because here in the countryside, every summer, these tropical fruits grow in such abundance that they practically knock at your doorsteps and say "Eat me!" without you spending a single cent. Haha. After all, a food that is free is always twice as sweet!

We really have to be careful when making promises to our kids because they have memories like elephants. They'll remember things we say and promise them even after a long time, and will suddenly bring it up to us one day! Haha.

If you were to choose between (1) setting simple decorations, a DIY one that you will do personally, with only a shoestring budget or (2) hiring professionals to set up grand decorations, which, of course, is costly, but requires no sweat on your part at all, well except maybe if there is no budget, are you choosing a stress-free option?

This is my first ever blog about food that I personally cooked, so please bear with me if this is nothing fancy. I am no chef. I don't cook either. But this summer, somehow, I had this sudden urge and a strong motivation to practice and learn cooking. So, every day is a new learning for me, together with the hope that I can gain (not yet at an enhancing level) skills in cooking.

As a girl living in the province, I only heard updates about the development of the city through TV News or Social Media. One of the developments I heard about that trended in the socmed was the renovation of the Carbon Market in Cebu, the launching of The Barracks, as they call it, the New Hawker Center in Cebu! Intrigued by what this "hawker Center in Cebu" offers and what it looks like, I have been meaning to come to this place and experience it in person! And finally, the time has come! I was like a moth drawn to a flame by excitement! Haha!
