In response to my article:@vugtis asked if I could provide the data for Gold Foil (GF) cards, so here is the GF version.Please note that for cards with an Untamed or Chaos Legion background, GF Commons start at Level 3 while GF Rares and Epics start at Level 2. These are Bronze level limits, so since a 1 BCX GF deck already has Bronze level cards (other than for Rare monsters), I will omit the "Novice to Bronze" category.

Now one common argument that is often raised is that there is such a massive gulf between Gold league cards and Max level cards but is that actually true? In this post we are going to explore whether the costs of going from Gold to Max is really that much larger than the costs upgrading from Novice to Bronze, Bronze to Silver, or Silver to Gold.

Some players complain that there aren't sufficient incentives to max their cards and that there is a better ROI by keeping cards at lower levels.Some players complain that the Splinterlands game economy is too top heavy and that the rewards are already too concentrated towards Diamond and Champion league.
