In 2010, I saw Rush's Farewell Tour in Chicago at Waverly Island. This is the location of the old Meigs airfield that they converted to an entertainment venue right on the lakeshore.
The early evening pre-show was drenched with rains that rolled off Lake Michigan, but by the time the band came on, the rain subsided.
Neil Peart (drummer/songwriter) passed away this past January. Their music is their legacy.
