My Pizza 420 Brawl Report #1

This is my first brawl report for the Brawls with Pizza 420 - The Calzones
This is our second brawl in Tier 2. Last week I was in fray #6 (A/B/P/R) but this week I am in fray #8 (Silver cap). To prep for this fray, I am renting dragon, water, and earth decks that will meet the silver cap. Going to be a lot of battles. 9 people in this fray!
Battle 1:
34 mana with no magic rule. Since there was no dragon or water, I picked light. The summer ability of the opponent plus a flying front line made it impossible to get anything in before I was taken down.
Battle 2:
32 mana, reflect and blast. Once again, no water or dragon to loaded up with the light deck I rented. The blast on their bloodlust champs made this battle very rough. So many power boosts which snowballed into even bigger blasts. Another loss.
Battle 3:
18 mana, true aim and little league. Finally able to load in a dragon team. Luckily I rented some low mana cards with decent attack. The enemy started out strong with a quick kill with their gladius card but the infiltrator kicked in and decimated the back line. 1st win on the board!
Battle 4:
16 mana and ranged can attack from front position. Decided to go with light on this one in hopes that I could get into the backline. Unfortunately, their frontline took me down too quick.
Battle 5:
Sometimes you just get a win by someone else not loading a team. I will take it where I get it. Win #2
Battle 6:
24 mana, no neutral and stampede. I decided to use dragon to get a thorn front end with a inspire boost to the back line attack. The speed of the opponent took out everything I had before they could attack once.
Battle 7:
16 mana no legends and no abilties. Not much to work with so I loaded dragon again. Looking at the battle now, I had no chance of winning this. too much magic to stop with so little mana.
Battle 8:
32 mana, poison and earthquake. I loaded in light thinking the shield boost would help out. Much like earlier, the flying frontline was impossible to get through.
Battle 9:
58 mana, poison and melee able to attack from anywhere. I was expecting more melee from my opponent so I loaded a thorn front with an attempt to take out their backline. I was unable to get through it fast enough especially with the revive after taking out the first card.
In the end, we placed 9th out of 10 netting 825 merits and 12.353 sps. I am saving up my merits to open 5 gladius cases at once. Currently at 9167 so only 1-2 more brawls to go!
