TPG Season 4: Still Rolling

A deeper dive into the ride, the rebrand & the road ahead
Last week, I shared a glimpse into **Season 4 of The People's Guild**—the refreshed look, the updated vibe & the continued spirit that keeps the wheels turning on this long-form journey through Praetoria.
But there’s more to the story.
This time around, I want to take you a bit further down the road. This is a closer look at why we leaned into the visual direction we did, the layers of meaning behind the imagery & what it all says about the kind of podcast (and community) we’re trying to build.
From the bus logo to the starter kit, from guest conversations to the shared journey of our listeners, Part 2 explores the ethos behind the ride.
If Part 1 was stopping at the gas station to fill 'er up, then Part 2 sees us hopping onto the I-10 Westbound towards the Brokenlands.

The Fresh Threads

As part of the rebrand, we wanted a logo that captured the spirit of The People’s Guild—not just as a podcast, but as a journey. The bus is the heart of it all: decked out with broadcasting gear, ready to hit the road at a moment’s notice & unmistakably us (I hope!).
It’s part tour bus, part radio station, part roadside hangout. Whether we’re unpacking meta strategy or swapping BBQ tips, this baby rolls with purpose.
But look a little closer—there are Easter eggs riding shotgun.
@wascalwabbits, original co-host & co-founder of TPG, has his namesake perched just below the audio equipment near the roof.
@hepthorn’s got a bit of homage to the Jersey Shore—his motherland—riding above the rear wheel well.
And @fatjimmy has his mark living near the rear speaker via a big, bold FJ sticker.
These nods are more than just stickers. They’re acknowledgments of the voices that have helped shape the soul of TPG over the seasons. Each co-host brings their own flavor—and together, they have made the ride smoother, more meaningful & way more fun.
We wanted a logo that felt lived in—like a van that’s seen a good few miles, countless hours of conversation & still has plenty of road ahead.

The Journey

But this journey isn’t just metaphorical.
Each conversation we have with a guest is a trip of its own—winding through stories, perspectives & ideas that shape how we think about the game, the ecosystem & the people building in it.
Then there’s the listener journey—the one you take when you tune in while commuting to work, walking the dog, grinding through Modern, or just rolling down the highway. You’re not just listening—you’re traveling with us.
And of course, there’s the meta journey: the one we’re all on together as a community. The twists & turns of DAO proposals. The terrain of tokenomics. The peaks & valleys of gameplay. From Rebellion to rewards, Land 1.75 to Conclave Arcana—TPG is here to document the long & adventurous road through it all.

Your Official TPG Starter Kit

Everything you need for the long-form journey through Splinterlands, Hive & beyond...
To celebrate the new look, we had a little fun & created the official TPG starter kit— let's call it a love letter to the community & a nod to the tools that keep us rolling week after week.

Sunglasses

Blocking FUD since Season 1
Every long road comes with a little noise. Keep your vision clear & your vibes steady.

Headphones

For tuning in & tuning out
Whether you’re catching the latest episode or drowning out the market drama, these are your portal in & escape route out.

Keys

To unlock the next episode
No journey begins without them. These open the doors to conversations that matter.

Map of Praetoria

Everywhere we’ve been. Everywhere we’re headed
Our road is winding. From DAO debates to meta shifts, we chart it all—one conversation at a time.

Splinterlands Packs

The loot, the lore & the luck
Each one holds a whisper of possibility—new strategies, old favorites & the thrill of what might be. We're so much more than just cardboard & code—it’s potential in every pull.

Coffee

Fuel for the long-form journey
The engine behind every recording session. Because deep dives demand strong brews.

Camera

Capturing meta shifts & power creep in real-time
Snapshots of the game’s evolution, the players who shape it & the road we’ve traveled together.

The Badge

As part of the rebrand, we also wanted a more versatile badge—something sharp, bold & clean. This alternate TPG logo gets shared with all of our guests, collaborators & challenge participants as a token of appreciation (check your Peakd profile for yours - if it's not there & ya think it should be, let me know!).
It's a mark of community, connection & contribution.
It also happens to look killer on a golf shirt or a baseball cap (shoot, I'd love one of those tees!).
We’re not anywhere near ready to launch a full-blown merch line (or any merch, really), but let’s just say we’re preparing for that day. When it comes, this is another sweet as emblem you’ll see—representing the road we’ve traveled & the people who’ve ridden shotgun with us.
Call it a symbol. Call it a badge. Either way, it’s got TPG written all over it.

Thank You

We just want to take a moment to say thanks.
Thanks for tuning in, showing up & sharing your stories.
Thanks for letting us be part of your weekly rhythm—whether it’s on your commute, your walk, or during a grind through Modern Gold.
Thanks for the encouragement, the engagement, the tough questions & the occasional joke.
This podcast has always been a conversation. Not just between co-hosts or guests, but with you—our little corner of the Splinterlands community.
Whether you've been riding with us from the beginning or just found your way to the van—we're glad you're here.
Thank you.

Wherever you are & wherever you're headed, TPG can be along for the ride.
Thanks for listening. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for being part of the journey.

Until Next time
