The Tour Of Britain (stage three) whipped past my hometown earlier today.
At the time, Team Sky was leading the peloton. But, at the end of the day, Team Quick-Step rider Julian Alaphilippe came out on top, crossing the finish line in Bristol.
The stage started and ended in Bristol, home of our title sponsor OVO Energy. It had all the ingredients to be a thriller: it was a short, sharp, out-and-back leg into the North Somerset hills, including the climb of Cheddar Gorge (one of my favourite places to cycle).
