Turkana lake, Kenya.These are Turkana warriors. Young people of these tribes (men and women) must pass 15 years of their life as warrior. Warriors manage and feed animals, and they are a sort of police, defending the villages if necessary.

From 2008 to 2020 I spent two of my hours of live by car, going to work.Road passes near a small pond with an oak, I think you recognize the oak from some other post I have published here on Hive.Now there is a bench and I can't go near the water, years passed and the wild place are even less...

I'm choosing pictures for my personal exhibition about Kenyan people and tribes, and I have found some images of hands.I love the elegance and dignity of these people, living in houses built by wood and covered by blanket, following ancient and simple way of lives.

This is my entry for #monomad challenge by @monochromes.Last sunday I have been in Dolomiti, a wonderful range of mountains in North Italy (Alto Adige region, near Austria).I prefer to go ski mountaineering instead of piste skiing: less people, and only wild mountains.

Yesterday first ski mountaineering trip of the year, in Dolomiti!Mountains are magic. I have been here many times, but never with skis and skins under sky. Thirty years ago I walked in these places many times, reading Dino Buzzati stories under rocks, waiting for the sunset. I love these places, there is a sort of mystery and beauty, hugged together.
