It was a hot day in Thailand, just like any other day in April. But this day was special because we were expecting a power outage from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. We had to prepare for it, so we charged all our devices the night before, filled up the water bottles, and made sure we had some snacks. As expected, at exactly 9:00 am, the electricity went off, and we knew we couldn't stay in the house with no AC or fan. So, we decided to run some errands and head to a cat cafe to spend some time with our furry friends.

We left the house at about 9:30 am and headed to the bank to finish some transactions. After that, we drove to the cat cafe, which was called "DOO CAT CAFE Phuket." It was located in Rawai Sub-district, not too far from our home. This was the first cat cafe we had visited before we adopted our own cats, and we were excited to see them again. The entrance fee was 159 baht per person, which included one drink of your choice. We paid the fee, and the staff led us to the cat room. As we entered, we felt a rush of cool air-conditioned air that instantly relieved us from the scorching heat outside. The room was filled with about 23 cats, most of them old and sleeping. Some were perched on shelves, while others lay on the ground.

We sat down and ordered our drinks while watching the cats sleep. I noticed a pack of Cat Creamy Treat on the counter, and without hesitation, I ordered two packets. I knew the cats would love them. As soon as the treats arrived, I opened the packets, and the cats started to stir. They could smell the creamy goodness and approached us, purring and meowing for their share. Some even climbed on our laps to get a closer look. I fed them one by one, and they seemed to love it. It was as if they had been waiting for this moment all day. The sleeping cats woke up, and some even played with the toys we brought along. We spent about three hours with the cats, playing and snuggling with them. It was a peaceful and enjoyable experience, and we forgot all about the power outage.

After we left the cat cafe, we headed to Central Department Store for lunch. It was a great way to spend the day, despite the power outage. We were grateful for the cat cafe, which gave us a break from the heat and allowed us to spend quality time with some furry friends.
