Crypto regulation by a centralized entity is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard.An excerpt from a February 7th article, written by yours truly. :) The title of said article is “You can't regulate what you have nothing to lose and gain from” and the reason I am bringing it up is because some points made there apply to what I want to explore today.

How many times have you heard people talk about “HODLing” and seemingly want “mass adoption” via this preaching? It's a rather funny judgment that many in crypto seem to believe that mass adoption is a pump signal because “retail money” is coming in.

As the day goes by, it appears as though many crypto projects are pivoting to semi-decentralized systems. For clarity, this is when a project has its elements of “community-governance” but at the same time has a killswitch for a centralized third-party.

We can't say we didn't see this coming after CZ got convicted and the largest crypto exchange was fined $4.3 billion.The premise of the settlement the exchange had with law enforcement was literally to make room for ongoing compliance monitoring.

It is no news that blockchain is the new business playing field, but that does not necessarily mean that they would simply pass over trust to “decentralized blockchains” to maintain records and liquidity flowing to their contralized businesses.

One should never trust a software designed to capture as much of one's attention as possible to play “fair”, that will never happen. One of the reasons I do not have a functioning Twitter account is that the platform is a highly toxic environment. There's really just a mixture of every thing that's fuckin wrong with this world on Twitter and it's heavily promoted by the platform's algorithm because you know why? Negative things capture longer attention.
