Hoy, en mi taller de los miércoles con el grupo de artesanas de la biblioteca, nos felicitaron por el Día Internacional del Artesano, una fecha especial que celebra a quienes transformamos materiales con nuestras manos en creaciones únicas, llenas de dedicación y amor. Esta conmemoración tiene su origen en la festividad de San José, el padre de Jesús, quien con su oficio de carpintero representa la esencia misma del trabajo artesanal.
Considero que ser artesanos nos permite expresar y potenciar nuestra creatividad, transformando materiales simples en verdaderas obras llenas de sentimiento. Cada tejido, cada talla en madera, cada pieza de cerámica o bordado, por ejemplo, cuenta un sentimiento, cuenta una historia.
Hoy quiero felicitar con mucho cariño a todos los artesanos que hacen vida en esta comunidad y en todas las comunidades que tienen que ver con el hacer manual en esta blockchain. A cada persona que, con sus manos laboriosas, convierte un pedazo de hilo, barro, madera o cualquier otro material en algo especial. Es hermoso ver cómo cada artesano deja un pedacito de su alma en sus creaciones. Nada hecho a mano es igual a otra cosa, porque cada pieza es única, irrepetible y lleva impreso el sello de quien la creó.

Today, in my Wednesday workshop with the library's group of artisans, we were congratulated for the International Day of the Artisan, a special date that celebrates those of us who transform materials with our hands into unique creations, full of dedication and love. This commemoration has its origin in the feast of St. Joseph, the father of Jesus, who with his trade of carpenter represents the very essence of artisan work.
I believe that being artisans allows us to express and enhance our creativity, transforming simple materials into true works full of feeling. Each weaving, each wood carving, each piece of pottery or embroidery, for example, tells a feeling, tells a story.
Today I want to congratulate with much affection all the artisans who make life in this community and in all the communities that have to do with manual work in this blockchain. To each person who, with their laborious hands, turns a piece of thread, clay, wood or any other material into something special. It is beautiful to see how each artisan leaves a little piece of their soul in their creations. Nothing handmade is the same as anything else, because each piece is unique, unrepeatable and bears the stamp of the person who created it.
Me gusta sentirme artesana porque, en esta palabra, encuentro el verdadero sentido de mi quehacer. Ser artesana es dar vida a cada creación, es impregnar cada una de las piezas con amor y dedicación, cada una lleva consigo un pedacito de mi esencia. Además, he descubierto que el arte de crear con las manos es una forma de sanar, por eso me gusta pensar que el arte-sana, pues cada puntada, cada tejido, cada trazo es un acto de conexión con mi interior, un espacio donde la calma, la paciencia y la gratitud florecen. Es un refugio para el espíritu, un bálsamo para el alma y un latido de alegría para el corazón.
En este día especial, celebremos nuestro talento, valoremos el esfuerzo y el amor que ponemos en cada creación. Sigamos tejiendo, tallando, moldeando, pintando o bordando; sigamos creando, porque el arte del artesano es eterno y su valor es incalculable.

Que nunca falten las manos creativas, las ideas brillantes y el amor por lo que hacemos. Que sigamos dejando huella con nuestras creaciones y que este bello oficio continúe inspirando a muchos.
I like to feel like an artisan because, in this word, I find the true meaning of my work. To be a craftswoman is to give life to each creation, it is to impregnate each piece with love and dedication, each one carries with it a little piece of my essence. In addition, I have discovered that the art of creating with my hands is a way to heal, that is why I like to think that art-heals, because each stitch, each weaving, each stroke is an act of connection with my inner self, a space where calm, patience and gratitude flourish. It is a refuge for the spirit, a balm for the soul and a beat of joy for the heart.
On this special day, let us celebrate our talent, let us value the effort and love we put into each creation. Let us continue weaving, carving, molding, painting or embroidering; let us continue creating, because the artisan's art is eternal and its value is incalculable.
