I've always loved learning new things, and technology sometimes surprises me in ways I never imagined. Recently, while working on an embroidery project, I ran into a small obstacle: the instructions were in English. Although I understand a few words, I didn't want to risk misinterpreting something and ruining my work.
I thought about asking for help and turned to my son-in-law, who is fluent in English and, with his usual kindness, has helped me on other occasions. I asked him to do the translation for me through a voice note, but instead he showed me something that astounded me. He showed me that with the translator DeepL I could simply take a picture of the instructions and the system would do the translation instantly. Did you know that this tool could do this?
Siempre me ha gustado aprender cosas nuevas, y la tecnología a veces me sorprende de maneras que no imaginaba. Hace poco, mientras trabajaba en un proyecto de bordado, me encontré con un pequeño obstáculo: las instrucciones estaban en inglés. Aunque entiendo algunas palabras, no quería arriesgarme a interpretar mal algo y arruinar mi trabajo.
Pensé en pedir ayuda y recurrí a mi yerno, quien domina el inglés y, con su habitual amabilidad, me ha ayudado en otras ocasiones. Le pedí que me hiciera la traducción a través de una nota de voz, pero en lugar de eso, me mostró algo que me dejó asombrada. Me enseñó que con el traductor DeepL podía simplemente tomarle una foto a las instrucciones y el sistema haría la traducción al instante. ¿Ustedes sabían que esta herramienta podía hacer esto?
With some hesitation, I followed his instructions and in seconds I saw how the English text was transformed into perfect Spanish. I was amazed! I couldn't believe how easy it was. It seemed almost magical to see the words translated without the need to write or copy anything. It was one of those experiences where you realize how wonderful technology can be when used in the right way.
That little discovery made me reflect on how much digital tools have advanced and how they can make our lives easier in the most mundane tasks. Now I know that I have one more tool at my disposal, and I will surely use it frequently.

Con algo de duda, seguí su indicación y en segundos vi cómo el texto en inglés se transformaba en un perfecto español. ¡Me quedé sorprendida! No podía creer lo fácil que era. Me pareció casi mágico ver las palabras traducidas sin necesidad de escribir ni copiar nada. Fue una de esas experiencias en las que te das cuenta de lo maravillosa que puede ser la tecnología cuando se usa de la manera correcta.
Ese pequeño descubrimiento me hizo reflexionar sobre cuánto han avanzado las herramientas digitales y cómo pueden facilitarnos la vida en las tareas más cotidianas. Ahora sé que tengo una herramienta más a mi disposición, y seguro la usaré frecuentemente.
