Hello Hive lovers, where I live we are in the rainy season and I think it is the best season. Where everything becomes more alive and abundant.
Today I will be showing you a selection of weeds that I am identifying to later add them to our syntropic forest project or as we like to call it at Vida Verde, Diverse Forest.
Weeds are hated and loved by others because they hinder some crops and in other cases they grow out of control affecting planters.
The truth is that the way I see weeds or weeds is quite balanced. On the one hand, they are the pioneers in any piece of land that has been devastated to make a succession with pioneer shrubs, pioneer trees that will put things in order until there is a forest again. It is a slow process but it has its reason for being.
In addition, many people intervene in this succession, birds and mammals are the ones truly responsible for the fact that these weeds are everywhere. Birds eat seeds that they then defecate in another area, making possible the growth of new weeds in other areas that need to be covered with vegetation. Mammals also do their best to eat some fruits or seeds from weedy lagoons to spread them through defecation.
Everything is part of an infinite circle of restoring the natural order and our concept of ugliness or unpleasantness in observing weeds is due to a concept established by a culture of gardening and specialized orchards where weeds have no place. And be careful, I also remove weeds from orchards or my garden.
But in the case of the creation of our agroforest, it will be extremely necessary to have some of these weeds with us to help as much as possible to give life back to infertile land.
In fact, I am preparing a post where I will talk about our herbal recipe book and cooking based on weeds that are around our house.
So when you see some weeds again, remember how important they are. Also, not all of them are ugly, I have clearly shown this in my photos.
Until next time
Enjoy
