The white lighthouse - watercolors on paper

Hello everyone, dear Hivers friends, and welcome back to my blog. Today I'm back to share my beloved sea. I've created a watercolor painting depicting a disused lighthouse in a stormy sea. My idea was to create a seascape with strong contrasts between the light of the waves' foam, the white lighthouse, and the rest of the landscape. So I treated the surface with a wide range of colors, adding yellow ochre mixed with blue, which leads to olive green and violet for other shades of the waves, in addition to blue and indigo.

I left some light around the volume of the lighthouse to make it stand out between the sky and the waves.

Il faro bianco - acquarelli su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi torno a condividere il mio amato mare, ho realizzato un ad acquarello che raffigura un faro dismesso in un mare pieno di movimento. La mia idea è stata quella di creare un paesaggio marino con forti contrasti tra il chiaro della schiuma delle onde, il faro bianco e il resto del paesaggio. Così ho trattato la superficie con una vasta gamma di colori inserendo, oltre ai blu e all'indigo, anche giallo ocra mescolato con il blu che porta al verde oliva e violetto per altre sfumature delle onde. Ho lasciato del chiaro intorno al volume del faro per farlo risaltare tra cielo e onde.
