Warm greetings Hive!

Here we are again showcasing our weekly curation of celebrated posts from the Architecture+Design community as we gladly continue elevating architecture and design with the Hive social blockchain to the world.

We are your dedicated community covering digital content about Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Urban Design, and Environmental Design.

In today's report, we're truly delighted to present to you our 44th Edition where our top-featured publications highlight an exquisite Japanese model home, a historic icon of architecture from India, and a marvelous transformation of an urban landscape from Singapore.

Don't forget to also check out our "Runner-Up" entries for their remarkable publications.

Our tremendous congratulations as well to all the deserving winners and other participating entries from the OCD Community Boost Contest for Architecture+Design which was held last October 13 - 19, 2021.

Our Champions for the Week:

@dmilliz Model Japanese Home By SekisuiHiem

dmilliz - gold mark.jpg

The first thing we can see with this model unit is that it has a lot of glass to let light in. I was surprised there were no storm shutters but I guess that option could easily be added or it could be A grade tempered glass. I really like the deck at the front of the house with the two straw chairs, a perfect spot for a discussion and a smoke ( if you are into that). Not all guests want to come in but a quick stop by and a chat might do the trick or you could lounge out here and watch the neighborhood while reading.

@sahiba-rana Historic Gem- Qutub Minar

sahiba-rana - silver mark.jpg

It's quite evident by now that this structure is built using sandstone and all the decorations, engravings and idols were made through it which is phenomenal job done by those artists thousand of years ago. Can you imagine as to how the 14.3 metres (47 feet) base diameter, reducing to 2.7 metres (9 feet) at the top of the peak was done without any software or advanced technologies and studies? How fascinating. Let's have some close up glimpse of the beautiful minaret

@cherryng SMART CITY: CONVERT ABANDONED URBAN SPACE TO MULTI-FUNCTIONAL LINKAGE FROM MRT STATION TO RESIDENTIAL AND RECREATIONAL PARK

cherryng - bronze mark.jpg

This linkage was a piece of abandon urban space under the existing MRT track. The creativity of design team and consultants converted it into a multifunction space with cycling track, pedestrian walkway and jogging track that linking the public to Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park by sheltered condition under the existing MRT tracks.
