I knew my 7 year anniversary on Hive (Steemit) was coming up, but I had forgotten when it was! I was super excited to get this notice in my post today about it being TODAY!
Happy anniversary to me! I joined what was Steemit 7 years ago. At the time, I was just looking for some outlet to blog where I could maybe make a little bit of money. I liked the look of Steemit and quickly got involved with some groups, like The Steem Engine, and some good bloggers.
I have taken some breaks in the last few years, mostly to keep up with life that is happening here in Panama, but I always enjoy getting back on and checking in on people I follow on here.
I ran back through some of my posts and found my very first one that was a white is white challenge. Even the kitty in the photo for the post is no longer with us, but she's still my profile photo as well!
My introductory post followed shortly after that. We had been in Panama for 5 months when I wrote it, so we were still new and exploring!
A lot has changed in the last 7 years. This anniversary has made me think about all the changes in life over that timeframe.
We are developing the neighborhood where we lived, built a tower, have many plans for the future, added another child to our family (now we have 6), have had many pets come and some go, have taken 2 trips to the US, love our place even more than before, still working on Spanish, love our Panamanian and expat communities, and so much more. We are blessed and so thankful to God for all He has done in the last seven years.
