Recently my 10 year old son decided to make some cinnamon rolls for our Bible study. Yum!! It's a pretty easy recipe, so he was able to do most of it himself. I like recipes like that!

I forgot to take photos of most of the process, but here he is cutting the roll. It's basically a simple biscuit or scone recipe and then you flatten it and roll it up with cinnamon and sugar.

They were so yummy, I forgot to snap an after picture! Ha! He did a great job. Now to convince him to do it every week.
Here's the recipe -
Baking Powder Biscuits
2 cups flour
2 T sugar
5 t baking powder
1/3 cup butter (grated)
1/2 t salt
3/4 cup milk
Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in the butter, mix. Stir in milk quickly to make soft dough. Roll 1/2 inch thick and cut with a cutter if making biscuits. Bake 450 F for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned. Makes 8 small or 4 medium biscuits.
*Can also be used as cinnamon roll - 400 F 12-15 minutes (roll out thin, spread melted or softened butter on the dough, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon). Roll up, slice thin.
Let me know if you try them!
