Yesterday was an easy run / jog but mostly jog. Let's just say I took the scenic route and sometimes you just gotta stop and take it in.
There is a ledge in the below picture which I strongly contomplated climbing up for a photo opportunity. My better judgment kicked in as I was in a relatively remote section of the track and there was nobody around in the event I got hurt. I will take that picture yet but only when I can have someone there with me for safety.
These pics are from the Cibolo Creek trail which has quite a bit to offer including a disc golf course. I had to be mindful of any Unidentified Flying Objects!
As is tradition with my "Don't Mess with Texas" theme of this years run series, I had picked up some items but unfortunately forgot my nitrile gloves after
@steemseph's admonish regarding urine contamination. Thankfully, there were no piss bottles in this venture... well as far as I know.
And I prefer to keep it that way. What is this I spy in the distance near a cave?
Let's look a little bit closer...
Ahhh a styrofoam cup. That isn't exactly very biodegradable. Reaching this cup required my traversing a section adjacent to the trail. I proceeded with much care eventually reaching my garbage bounty!
You gotta be a real scumbag to leave a glass bottle in a trail with a lot of foot traffic. Took care of that one as well.
In addition to these escapades, I encountered a young buck while jogging. He was equipped with what appeared to be two sharp antlers and I did not want to be gored today so I approached with caution. Here is the video. Thankfully he scooted off up the hill after this stand off.
I ended up jogging / running about 6.42 miles and burning 1256 calories. Decent.
This trail will make for an excellent 360 video using my helmet mounted GoPro next time.
Thanks for stopping by ✌️
