We’ve all been there, we sit online browsing through flights hours on end, again and again, calculating what’s the shortest time I can be on a plane for the cheapest price. You finally find one that’s “tolerable”, click, enter your credit card and you just booked yourself a flight halfway around the world. Then you forget about that flight for 4ish months and about two weeks before your flight you realize CRAP, halfway around the world really means halfway around the world and a 10+ hour flight. So you panic not only because you have to pack for a vacation halfway around the world, but you also hate flying too! Well… I’m here to give you 10 tips how to survive a long flight and how to make them more tolerable. So that’s one less thing you don’t have to worry about, and you can enjoy your vacation!
As a child, my parents once took me to Florida. That year we went to Disney (who doesn't want to visit Disney for their first time in Florida). We also went to Universal City Walk, but we never actually went to any of the parks inside just the boardwalk. Now that I’m an adult, I’ve been to Orlando a couple of times, each time visiting Disney rather than Universal for a number of reasons; a friend of mine was working there, I wanted to go to Epcot due to my love of food, or others that came along. Until now! 27 years later I FINALLY went to Universal Studios for the first time? Ummm why did I wait so long? I love roller coasters! Here’s my experience with Universal for the first time.
Fajitas are probably my all time favorite Mexican food, there’s just so many flavors, between the spices, vegetables, and the different proteins that make my mouth water just thinking about them. Fajitas are also great for when I’m traveling and want to eat healthily. Just omit the tortilla and you still have a fantastic healthy and delicious meal.
Oh the beautiful A-B-C Islands!!!! Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao also known as the ABC islands. The ABC's are a popular group of Dutch islands in the Caribbean. I had the chance to go to all three of these plus Haiti when I cruised the Navigator of the Seas a few weeks ago. I’ve never been to any of these ports or islands before so I was very happy to be in new territories. The islands sure were beautiful and offered many different shore excursions from the cruise line. Here was my experience with each excursion.
I sure love being on the water, so whenever I go on a cruise I get extra excited because I get to spend a few days traveling, and being on the water. I also love the ease of being on a cruise, because I travel full time for a living, it’s nice to go somewhere for a week, still travel to multiple destinations, but only have to lug around your stuff once. And cruises have absolutely everything you can ever imagine on them plus more.
Yep, I did it! I went on a singles cruise at a young age of 25, (then again at 26, and most recently 27). Most people would think I’m totally crazy for doing something like this but I say screw them! I had a blast and made some amazing friends while at it.
