It's about time for another music-only post on my blog. This post also goes in that direction - but not quite in the end. Because my colleague, who usually makes the Visualizer videos for the video platforms for me, is currently enjoying his well-deserved vacation, so I had to do it myself, so to speak. More on this later...
On 21.06.2024 I re-released one of my classics from 1999 on Klubbstyle Records. The track is called "Behind The Sun" and was first released on the Space Traxx label under my pseudonym CALDERONE, which I later renamed Calderone Inc..
For the re-release I have completely remastered the original mixes from 1999 and even reworked them slightly. However, I also produced a completely new mix of the track in a modern uplifting trance sound.
The 2024 Uplifting Mix is available in two versions - a short version and an extended version, which is particularly suitable for use in clubs. For me, however, the extended versions are basically the real tracks. The short versions are edited original works.
As already mentioned, this time I had to create a Visualizer video myself. The professionals usually do this with a program from Adobe. Since I wanted to try out "making videos" first, I used the freeware program "Astrofox". I have to say, it was really fun to work with Astrofox. I followed the motto "learning by doing". However, I find it regrettable that I am not able to save finished videos that I have created as a template that I can open again when required. Either I'm using the program incorrectly or it simply doesn't work. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with the two Visualizer videos I created for Behind The Sun.

eigentlich wäre es lange mal wieder Zeit für einen reinen Musikbeitrag auf meinem Blog. Dieser Beitrag geht auch in diese Richtung - allerdings dann letztlich doch nicht ganz. Denn da mein Kollege, der für mich sonst die Visualizer Videos für die Videoplattformen macht, gerade seinen wohlverdienten Urlaub genießt, mußte ich sozusagen selber Hand anlegen. Mehr dazu später...
Am 21.06.2024 habe ich auf Klubbstyle einen meiner Klassiker aus dem Jahre 1999 wiederveröffentlicht. Der Titel heißt "Behind The Sun" und erschien damals als Erstveröffentlichung auf dem Label Space Traxx unter meinem Pseudonym CALDERONE, das ich später in Calderone Inc. umbenannt habe.
Für die Wiederveröffentlichung habe ich die Original Mixe aus dem Jahr 1999 komplett neu gemastert und sogar noch leicht nachbearbeitet. Allerdings habe ich auch einen komplett neuen Mix des Tracks im modernen Uplifting Trance Sound produziert.
Den 2024 Uplifting Mix gibt es in zwei Varianten - einer kurzen Version und einer Extended Version, die v.a. für den Einsatz im Club geeignet ist. Für mich sind die Extended Versionen aber grundsätzlich die "eigentlichen" Tracks. Die kurzen Versionen sind geschnitte Originalwerke.
Wie bereits erwähnt, musste ich mich dieses mal selbst um die Erstellung eines Visualizer Videos kümmern. Die Profis machen dies in der Regel mit einem Programm von Adobe. Da ich das "Video machen" erst einmal ausprobieren wollte, habe ich das Freeware Program "Astrofox" benutzt. Ich muß sagen, es hat richtig Spaß gemacht, mit diesem Astrofox zu arbeiten. Hierbei habe ich mich der Devise "learning by doing" bedient. Bedauerlich finde ich allerdings, daß es mir nicht gelingt, fertige, von mir erstellte Videos als Vorlage zu speichern, die ich bei Bedarf wieder aufrufen kann. Entweder bediene ich das Programm falsch, oder es geht leider einfach nicht. Nichts desto trotz bin ich mit den beiden Visualizer Videos, die ich für Behind The Sun erstellt habe, sehr zufrieden.
