Hello beautiful people of Hive, today I came to tell you about the activities I did this weekend. I hope you find this a rewarding and fun read π.
Well... We better start with Friday. That day we went to the beach very early (within reason, because we left at noon π) but here in Spain, daylight saving time is very different from what I was used to in Venezuela; the days are longer and that's why morning activities start a little later.
Back to the topic, in the city of Vigo there are many beaches but our favorite one is called "Playa del Vao", the water has a perfect blue tone and its sand is white as snow hehe. Usually since I'm living in this city my plans to go to the beach is to sit and sunbathe and enjoy the scenery with the company of friends and a good snack. I almost never go in the water because I find the water very cold and my Caribbean skin is not very used to it π
.
But just this day I was encouraged to take a dip because, although the water was cold, the sun was quite intense β. However I had a small inconvenience, I had not brought a swimsuit π but since people here do what they want and usually you see many women in topless, I said: if they don't mind being seen bathing like that, then I'm going to swim with clothes π (At least I had a pair of shorts). I don't know if someday I will have the courage to walk on the beach in a topless but right now I would die of shame π, it's really just about the culture of each person.

We stayed there for about 4 hours and then we went to the next beach called Samil, because in that place they were doing part of the sports activities of "O marisquiΓ±o", which is a very popular event, where participants of all nationalities come to compete in different categories. Here I will leave the instagram of the event O marisquiΓ±o for those who are interested in all the activities that have taken place.

There were competitors from USA, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Germany? But we went specifically to support ours, the Venezuelan Daniel Dhers,
who is a professional BMX rider, Olympic silver medalist (Tokyo-2020) and winner of multiple other internationally recognized medalUnfortunately we were there for a while but we could not see it that day because my boyfriend and my cousin had to go to work. So that day we were left with the desire to see it.

For Saturday we had planned to do multiple activities, which were to go around the different places in the city where the O marisquiΓ±o activities were taking place and see a bit of everything, since many of them were only a few meters away, except for the one we were most interested in (cycling) which was quite far away. So after having a look around the city center we went to look for some transport to take us to the place, but everyone had the same plans, so the transport was collapsed π₯.
The idea was to be there from 8:00pm to 9:15pm to see if we could see Daniel Derhs participation and then from there we would go to a kayaking activity to see the sunset (in summers it's around 9:30 π
). We made a lot of bad decisions regarding transports and routes so we were quite late and there it was that everything started to go wrong π.... We were already late for everything and we couldn't even find a cab, that day we couldn't see Daniel and we missed the sunset, however we were able to do the Kayaking activity at night.

The main objective was that we wanted to escape from the light pollution and to be able to see the star shower that was scheduled to be seen this August 12 and a friend told me that they would do this kayaking activity with a group of people and that the payment to the organizer would be mostly a collaboration. That's what he said!
However at the end of the tour, which did not last long and we did not even see too many stars as expected, the man told us that the payment would be 15β¬ per person and we were in shock π .... Mostly because my friend never spoke to us clearly and although we had to pay and it is understood that it is an activity that deserves payment, our annoyance is that we wanted to have the right to choose whether or not to do the activity at that price π’ and go with another mentality and economic organization. So yesterday we spent around 50β¬ between activities and taking cabs π
all for a bad organization, so take my experience as advice π
.... But at least I lived the experience for the first time.

To end my weekend, today we just wanted to go meet Daniel, so we got up early and went to the activity. Getting there early was a good idea because we got to see him before his participation and we finally got to take a picture with him. So we made it ππ.
