This is a cross post of @ammonite/boil-video-art by @ammonite.Here is some video art to accompany a live performance.
It has been a long time since I shared one of my video projects. Well, I'm back and have a story to tell. This one is from 2005 and was an unusual project, even for me. I forgot to post about it in it's normal chronology because I mislaid the files. Luckily I found them again multiplexed the audio and remastered the video for your viewing pleasure.
I had this old Powerwasher in my shed which hadn't been used for over 10 years. It was a pretty good one and I remember I used it to wash my whole house top to bottom many years ago. A few weekends back I took it out with the intention of washing down the external paintwork to give the house a new lick of paint before winter. Like everything in my life at the moment it was not going to be that simple. After plugging it into the water hose and electrickery it did not work, not a sign of life.
As the summer ends and the winter begins to show its cold face, heating starts to come to mind. As with everything at the moment in my life I am delayed, delayed in getting to do the things that need doing when they were supposed to be done. It's not out of laziness. I work damn hard, and even find it difficult to sit down. There is always something to do around my little homestead. I confess that even writing these posts gives me guilt. I could be doing something more important. Tangible, something to make my family's life better.
The summer is ending, and I thought it was high time I did a quick fruit tree update. In all, it has been a mixed bag of ups and downs. I found out from my brother who is a pro gardener, that my issue with all the new growth on my new apple and plump trees dying was a caterpillar that creates a little cocoon out of the new leaves and eats them up.
That was too close for comfort. I nearly got scammed out of my Hive account. After over 7 years on chain, I almost made a fatal mistake. I was talking to who I thought was a trusted party but it turned out it was an imposter. Luckily I survived to tell the tale because if I didn't all my work at building this account would have been gone. I am telling this story to hopefully keep other safe and make them alert to the danger. There are a lot of scammers in crypto and there is no mammy you can run to when you have been taken for all you have.
