More experiments,,,,

By @alicemarie2/25/2018life

Greetings!!

It's been a month again since I wrote last. Sorry for the delay. I just can't seem to get everything done that I want to, LOL.

I wrote the post below on my web site this morning but really wanted to share with y'all. I do have different viewers here than on my web site.

Tomorrow I will be firing these items and praying they all come out OK. I will post finished results in a future post.

A practice jar with sunflowers and leaves. I sure hope this comes out good!!

Another go at practicing banding. You can never practice too much!! This banding is done by hand by placing the piece on a turntable, spinning it with one hand while painting the bands with the other hand. It takes a pretty steady hand to do this, LOL.

This leaf dish, along with the one below is first painted with peacock green glaze, then both clear and white cascade glazes are added. The glazes are designed to flow and will create an interesting effect. I can't wait to see what it looks like!!

You might recall I used the cascades on a mug and a yarn bowl. I really liked the effect so wanted to experiment further.

If you enjoyed this post please upvote and resteem and please stop back after Wednesday, I hope to have the end results posted by then. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Until next time,,,,,,,
