Hello, photography lovers! Holidays are almost here in Serbia - even though we celebrate Christmas on January 7th, the celebratory vibe has already started. Especially as the night falls down you can hear the music blasting loud from trumpets, accordions and violins. Some of these street buskers tend to be annoying, others are very talented and respectful so it's good to follow your intuition and only give money to those who really deserve it. I swear some of them learn only one song and repeat it over and over - I'd be hearing that same one for 4-5 years already wondering how it didn't drive them insane.

The Church of Saint Marko which you can see in the first few photos is a magnificent building, enormous in size and with a facade made of different types of stone (red and white). Next to the famous Church of Saint Sava it's the most impressive one we have in Belgrade. The building that follows it here in the post, and is only a few hundred meters away, is the national Parliament.

As you walk down the streets you can hear all languages that exist being spoken - tourists from all over the world come to Belgrade this time of year, but mostly it's the Asian and Russian people. Shop and restaurant workers have their arms full, their facilities are swamped with people looking for good food and cheap or unique gifts. I went into a couple of bookstores looking for an interesting New Year's present for my friends.

The group of gipsy trumpeters particularly stood out in their santa uniforms, I had to take a few photos of this wild bunch. Even though I normally don't photograph what's the most obvious and look for something sidelined, I couldn't miss this one.

Full moon lit the ambience nicely, first on a clear sky and then later was poking its head from behind the clouds. For the last few shots, I photographed this interesting girl sitting on the fence and then few minutes later as she jumped into the bus and drove away. I entered the next one and headed home. Photos taken with Fuji X-Pro2 + 35mm F/2 lens.
