What would happen if we combined obsession with the twisted mind of a violent prisoner? Exactly, an ideal cocktail to create chaos and destruction in its wake. Today's episode shows us how dangerous obsession with a person can be, and, in addition, the serious mental health problems unrelated to obsession that intertwine, causing innocent people to pay for others' sins.

This episode reflects the harsh life in a women's prison for innocent people, like Cecilia. If there's anything worse than being locked up, it's being locked up because of the person who claimed to love you. I didn't dislike Celeste Cid's performance. She was a calm, non-conflictive, passive woman, I'd say, or rather, she easily fell into the clutches of both her ex and her fellow inmate, Laura, who is the complete opposite of her, so much so that the others are afraid of her. While Celeste played a good role, the one who stole the episode was Nancy. A true-to-life thug, a full-throttle highway robber, a criminal ready for anything. A clear reflection of a marginalized society that falls into crime.
Everything, down to the smallest detail of how life is precariously lived inside, was well executed. Everything was very real, and Nancy, I was truly driven to despair by her obsession with the girl. An imminent danger, a tragedy that could have been avoided, but wasn't. Oh, what a fantastic performance, Nancy. I even thought you were like that, haha.
What I always highlight about this series are its finales, and this one didn't disappoint. Laura's loss of control and overwhelming emotions in the final act were incredible, unleashing all her pent-up anger on poor Cecilia. She said so many things that my skin crawled just hearing her cry and seeing her cry like that. Not every actor can pull that off, and here, I take my hat off to her. An excellent episode, worth watching and appreciating in every detail.

The real case occurred in 2005 at the San Fernando Bingo Hall in Buenos Aires, and the protagonists' nicknames were El Cholo (Laura) and Pity (Cecilia). Both inmates formed a relationship inside prison, but only El Cholo was in love with her, and everything ended the way it did. El Cholo practically owned the prison: She came and went as she pleased, made decisions as an official, charged protection money, dressed in expensive brands, etc. Total chaos until she took her own life in 2018, supposedly due to infidelity. If you want to read the full story, I'll leave it here.
A curious thing about this case is that it's the only one where I was literally there. I mean, not at the time of the crime, but I did pass by the site, so I knew, even if only from the outside, the scene of a crime, and it was shocking. While we were on the bus, we passed by, and it really felt awful to know that a person was mercilessly murdered there. How many places like that are there scattered throughout cities and we'll never find out they left a trail of blood? I give this episode a 10 out of 10. Cheers!
